In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, wild Pokemon have started showing up all over Lumiose City. In certain areas, wild Pokemon have taken over completely, creating Wild Zones. There are several different Wild Zones in the game offering different species of Pokemon for you to catch.

However, knowing how to find each Pokemon that spawns at a Wild Zone is not always a simple task. If you find yourself looking for a walkthrough on 100% completing Pokemon Legends: Z-A’s Wild Zone 1, all of the information you’ll need to do so has been included in the guide below.

Wild Zone 1 Pokemon Spawn List & Locations in Pokemon Legends: Z-A

In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, Wild Zone 1 is located in the Vert District, at South Boulevard. However, Urbain will also naturally guide you to this location within the first initial hours of gameplay, and it will become a fast travel point moving forward.

Fletchling Spawn Location in Wild Zone 1

Fletchling can be found flying around the main strip of road, as well as potentially sitting perched on nearby structures such as street lamps or ledges.

Bunnelby Spawn Location in Wild Zone 1

Bunnelby will be hopping around the main strip of road, but may sometimes wander over to nearby patches of grass on either side.

Scatterbug Spawn Location in Wild Zone 1

Further down, in the middle of Wild Zone 1, Scatterbug can be found on the side of the road, wandering around the grass. Long grass may obscure it from view, but Scatterbug may also wander out onto the road, so keep your eyes peeled.

Mareep Spawn Location in Wild Zone 1

Mareep can be found hanging out around the grass patch and road right by the other entrance/exit to Wild Zone 1.

Weedle Spawn Location in Wild Zone 1

Weedle can be found around the middle section of Wild Zone 1, near the advertisement pillar in the grass to the left, or also crawling around the small strip of courtyard/street approximately on the right side of Wild Zone 1’s middle.

Pidgey Spawn Location in Wild Zone 1

There are also a couple of hidden Pokemon in Wild Zone 1, and Pidgey is one of them. To reach Pidgey’s spawn location, head over to the gate where Mareep tend to linger. To the right, you should see a black fence with some rocks blocking the entrance.

These rocks are some of the many breakable boulders scattered around Lumiose City. To break them, you can use the move Rock Smash, which is unlocked upon meeting Mabel and initiating Mabel’s Research Rewards. Urbain will guide you to meet Mabel as part of a main story mission, after capturing 5 different types of Pokemon at the start of the game.

Break the rocks and walk through into this area. To the right, you will now see a ladder. Climb up the ladder, and you should now find Pidgey flying around on the rooftop.

Pichu Spawn Location in Wild Zone 1

Pichu is also located within the area behind the breakable rocks. However, there is a pond separating you from reaching the little guy. To get to Pichu, you will need to climb up the ladder to the rooftop where you found Pidgey, then walk over and drop down from the rooftop onto the side of the grass where Pichu roams.

However, you will need to be careful not to drop too close and to sneak once you have landed. This is because Pichu is easily frightened, and if it catches you approaching or you fail to capture it before it is stunned/defeated, it will attempt to flee!

What is the Wild Zone 1 Alpha Pokemon & Where to Find it?

In Wild Zone 1, the Alpha Pokemon is an Alpha Pidgey. This Alpha Pidgey can be located by taking the ladder up to the rooftop. Once here, run past the regular Pidgey and follow the rooftop pathing around until you see the glowing red eyes of Alpha Pidgey! Now, you can engage in battle and try to capture it if you wish.

As you continue to progress through the game and 100% the various Wild Zones, more Alpha Pokemon of different species may start to appear within other areas of the Wild Zone, too. Just as the other Alpha Pokemon, any new additions will also tend to have set spawn points, so be sure to keep an eye out!
