In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, you will be able to freely explore the large environment of Lumiose City. However, as you set out in search of more Pokemon to discover, or head out with the hopes of following and completing story missions and objectives, getting around the city can take some time.

How to Fast Travel in Pokemon Legends: Z-A
In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, players can fast travel to major locations or buildings that they have previously unlocked and visited. To fast travel, follow the simple instructions below:
- Open your map by pressing the + button on your Joy-Con or controller.
- Navigate across the map to hover over and select the location you would like to fast travel to. Eligible points will be marked with a blue feather/wing-shaped symbol.
- Alternatively, press the Y button to open a list of every fast travel spot you have unlocked, and select from there.
- Confirm your decision, and your Trainer will now be transported to the location.
However, you can only fast-travel between points that you have already visited and registered. The only exception to this is Battle Spots. As Battle Spots tend to rotate within different parts of Lumiose City each night, you can fast travel to each Battle Spot directly from the map just as you would with any other location.
Thankfully, because of this, you’ll never need to worry about registering them as permanent fast travel spots; you can just jump straight into the action from your map each night.
How to Unlock More Fast Travel Spots in Pokemon Legends: Z-A
To register spots for fast travel in Pokemon Legends: Z-A you must visit that particular area or location. A lot of times, this means you will actually need to physically enter the building or area in question for it to be registered – Pokemon Centers are an example of this.
The kinds of areas that can be registered as fast travel spots in Lumiose City range from Wild Zones to Pokemon Centers, shopping districts and boutiques, cafes, item markets/shops, and more.
How to Use the Lumiose City Taxi Cab Service in Pokemon Legends: Z-A
There are also occasional Taxis run by the Lumiose City Taxi Cab service, Lumi Cab. If you speak to one of the drivers, they will be able to take you to any location within Lumiose City, including restaurants, Districts, and more.
This is great for getting quickly to other sides of the City that you don’t yet have many fast travel points for, but the one downside is that each trip will cost a few hundred, so you’ll need to have a healthy stack of spare change if you plan to make multiple trips.
