As a big part of Code Vein 2 is relationships, a lot of characters give sidequests to the player to give more reasons to explore and flesh out characters. The Requests from a Friend questline for Noah is absolutely worth doing, but it is less straightforward than the tasks others give, so we are here to help.
If you’re seeing this and wondering why you don’t have these quests available, you will need to go back and save Noah so you can talk to him in the present.
Requests from a Friend: Noah Walkthrough
The other benefit of doing this, besides the rewards for the quests, is that it will increase your affinity with Noah. For this quest, he wants you to track down Engraved Weapons. These are presented as yellow ground pickups, which can make them even harder to spot.
Noah’s Request: Sunken City
If you’re doing this much further in the story, this first Engraved Weapon will be right where you go to the Hidden Lab in Sunken City for Zenon’s story quests. Otherwise, you can start from the West Coast Pier or Western Gatehouse Ruins Mistles and follow the roads to this big building in the far south.

Head into the southeastern corner of the building, and you’ll see broken windows that you can walk through and a big staircase on the other side.

The Engraved Weapon sits at the top of these stairs in front of a chest.

As a reward, Noah gives you the Old Engraved Greatsword.

Noah’s Request: Corroded Scar
Once again, if you’ve done or are doing Zenon’s questline, this Engraved Weapon is right next to the Hidden Lab in the Corroded Scar elevator. You can just spawn at that Mistle, take the elevator up, and the Engraved Weapon to the right, around the corner, and behind a fence.

For anyone else, you have several options. You can take the road north from the Miner’s Rest Stop Mistle. It is also close to the Hidden Riverside Path and Riverport Watch Fort Mistles.

You can even faintly see the glow of the pickup from the road.

Turning this in gets you the Old Engraved Hammer.

Noah’s Request: Undead Forest
Once again, our Engraved Weapon is right by a Hidden Lab entrance. This time, take the elevator up, and around the corner to the right, you’ll find a ladder that leads right up to the Engraved Weapon.

If you haven’t done that, you can easily start at the Abandoned Farm Mistle.

Follow the road all the way to that bend to the east and then walk up to the area.

There will be one of those quadrupedal robots patrolling, but you can easily run up the stairs and avoid it.

The reward for this is the Old Engraved Bayonet.

Noah’s Request 2 Walkthrough
After turning in all three Engraved Weapons, Noah will tell you that he wants to investigate Insula Carcere, but he doesn’t give you any further details on where he wants to go.
As it turns out, he wants to visit the Prison Smithy, which is near the end of the prison complex. If you followed our guide on finding the Tender Light Stone 4, it is in the exact same spot.

Otherwise, there’s no issue. The whole place is straightforward, so you’ll eventually come to the Upper Cell Block Mistle. From here, turn back around and return to the room with the Darkborn Leader variant enemy in the cell. On the other side of that will be a doorway leading outside that you’ll go through.

There are two enemies here, but they shouldn’t pose too much of a threat.

With them dead, continue down the path, and the Smithy will be dead ahead.
Once inside, Noah will speak up, and a bond will appear on the table, taking you through the memories of his deceased friend Frantz.

Once you exit the bond, the quest will finish, though the reward is just some upgrade materials you have already found by now.
It’s clear that the weapons in the first part of Noah’s quest are meant to be the real reward, and everything after is just for more character insight and to raise his affinity further.
