Marvel Rivals Reveals Fully Re-Voiced Skin For Loki, Lady Loki
Marvel Rivals might beat the Overwatch with its latest reveal. Lady Loki, the game’s first fully revoiced skin is a gender swap too, and marks a new level of commitment to it’s comestics. This isn’t just a new outfit. It’s a full presentation overhaul that treats a skin like an event, not filler content.
Not Hela, Not a New Hero, Still Loki
Despite early speculation from fans, Lady Loki is not a Hela skin, nor a separate playable character. This is Loki. She retains Loki’s role as a Strategist and plays exactly the same.
Lady Loki features a new character model and a fully re-recorded voice performance by Abby Trott, who also voices Magik in Marvel Rivals. This isn’t a handful of alternate voice lines tossed in for flavor. NetEase has committed to a complete vocal reinterpretation, giving the skin its own cadence, tone, and mischievous personality.
Lore-Accurate, Fan-Targeted, and Very On Purpose

Lady Loki works because it isn’t fighting Marvel canon; it’s embracing it. Loki’s gender fluidity is deeply embedded in both Norse mythology and Marvel Comics, making this skin feel less like a novelty and more like a natural extension of the character.
At the same time, NetEase isn’t pretending this is purely an artistic decision. Lady Loki is a calculated appeal to Marvel Rivals’ most enthusiastic and unabashedly thirsty fans.
Same Kit, Different Vibe

From a balance standpoint, Lady Loki changes nothing. There’s no gameplay advantage, no reworked abilities, and no meta implications. This is fantasy-first design, and that’s intentional.
What the new voiceover accomplishes is subtler but arguably more important. Familiar abilities feel different simply because they’re delivered differently. The personality shift gives Loki’s toolkit new energy without touching the mechanics, reinforcing the idea that cosmetics can meaningfully affect player experience without disrupting competitive integrity.
NetEase Opens the Fully-Voiced Character Swap Floodgates

By delivering a fully voiced gender-swap skin, NetEase has set a new standard, and fans immediately noticed. The possibilities now extend beyond simple gender swaps — fully re-voiced character swaps could let heroes be replaced with entirely different characters while retaining the same abilities. Opportunities include:
- Hulk → She-Hulk/Abomination
- Thor → Jane Foster Thor
- Iron Man → Riri Williams / Ironheart
- Black Panther → Shuri
- Deadpool → Gwenpool
- Spider-Man → Spider-Gwen/Miles Morales/ Miguel O’Hara/ Spider-Man Noir/Spider-Punk
- Doctor Strange → Clea/Wong
- Venom → Any Symbiote…
- Captain America → U.S. Agent/Captain Carter
Whether NetEase goes safe or bold remains to be seen, but the door to fully voiced, identity-altering skins is now undeniably open.
Release Date and Availability

Lady Loki will be available in Marvel Rivals from Jan. 1, 2026, at 6 p.m. PST until Jan. 29, 2026, at 6 p.m. PST. It’s a limited window, but one clearly designed to generate urgency and conversation.
For a game still fighting to define itself beyond genre comparisons, Lady Loki feels like a turning point. NetEase hasn’t reinvented the hero shooter, but it has shown a sharp understanding of why players stick around, why they spend, and how identity-driven cosmetics can do more than just look good on a character select screen.
