An unexpected discovery has been made by Fortnite leakers/dataminers, pointing towards a possible collaboration with Overwatch 2. Despite the idea of a collab between the two franchises being quite a popular concept in recent years, no evidence has circulated to give fans any hope…until now. Based on some recently datamined files, it seems that Overwatch 2 might just be coming to Fortnite after all, but in LEGO form.

Fortnite Leaks Suggest Evidence For an Overwach 2 Collaboration

These new leaks involve the discovery of a LEGO Fortnite model featuring the exact same hair piece as Hanzo’s LEGO minifigure from the Overwatch sets. This may seem like a minor coincidence. However, there is one important detail regarding this hairstyle that gives fans some real hope. As it turns out, this exact hair has only ever been used with the Hanzo minifigure, and no other design.

If Hanzo’s hair has been discovered inside Fortnite’s game files, then evidence could point towards a LEGO Hanzo skin being in the works for Fortnite as part of a collaboration. However, this may not be the first time this hairpiece has been seen in-game. First, it appeared on an early concept of another LEGO Fortnite skin, was removed, and has now been rediscovered as of December 12, 2025.

Take a look at the post by HYPEX below:

While it may have previously been used as a placeholder hair in different LEGO Fortnite concepts, there is still some hope for fans who wish to see a LEGO Fortnite x Overwatch 2 collaboration.

However, all leaks/datamining should always be taken with a grain of salt. In particular, the post from HYPEX has stated that LEGO only uses the hair for the Hanzo minifigure. While this is true, it does not mean that LEGO Fortnite will not use that hair for other concepts. Fans have been quick to mention this, even posting in-game screenshots of skins that appear to have Hanzo’s hair.

This may mean that, despite what HYPEX stated, Hanzo’s hair was never actually removed from game files, as it can be seen on other skins. In this case, it may not mean that a new Overwatch collaboration is in the works, but that the Hanzo hairstyle is going to be used again with a new LEGO Fortnite skin design.

Fans will just have to wait and see if any more evidence pops up to either strengthen or dismiss the possibility of LEGO Fortnite x Overwatch 2.
