One such example of these new Mega Evolutions is Mega Magearna, which is now available for players to acquire. How to Get Mega Magearna & Magearnite in Pokemon Legends Z-A
To get Mega Magearna in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, you will need to acquire the Magearnite stone. To gain this item, you will need to complete a Magearna-specific quest titled ‘Restarting Magearna‘. This quest will be unlocked during the late game stage of the Mega Dimension DLC, and can be initiated from Quasartico Inc. by speaking to Jett.
Jett will explain that the Magearna they have acquired has remained dormant, and that they need a Mega Stone to awaken it. Jett will then ask you to gather 999 Mega Shards so that they can produce the stone.
After collecting the required Mega Shards, return to Jett and hand them over. The Mega Stone will then be produced, and Magearna will be awakened. As a reward, Jett will give you Magerna, trusting in you to help it discover the world. In addition to this, you will also be gifted the Magearnite Mega Stone so that you can Mega Evolve Magearna for the remainder of your adventures.
Magearna will be level 80 when you receive it, so you may need to train it up a bit first if you plan to take on some of the more difficult Mega Evolution battles via the portals to Hyperspace Lumiose. After this, the Restarting Magearna side mission will now be complete, and you will gain the additional mission rewards.

Interestingly enough, Mega Magearna’s color palette resembles the original color Magearna variant. This is a fun little detail for longtime fans, and a unique design choice that makes Mega Magearna’s design stand out just that much more.
