The April cycle of Imaginarium Theater is here, covering half of the 6.5 version and the last few days of 6.4. Unlike last time, the elements are somewhat better, but it will still feel restricting if you don’t have enough Hydro units.

The whole run will be a big check to see if you have built your Hydro units, as that’s the only available element that works with Geo and Cryo.

If you are new here, we test as many teams and synergies in Imaginarium Theater at the Lunar Mode and guide you on how you can get maximum Star rewards. Have your notepad ready, and let’s dive in!

Imaginarium Theater Details

The 6.5 Imaginarium Theater has Hydro, Cryo, and Geo elements. This allows freeze and lunar-crystallize as your main reactions. If you have characters like Skirk, Zibai, and Neuvillete, many of the difficult boss fights will become much easier.

Opening Characters

Players can use Mona, Xingqiu, Wriothesley, Rosaria, Navia, and Kachina as the Opening Characters. Mona can be used with Sucrose and Klee, who are available as Special Guest Stars, to maximize Hexerei buffs.

Wriothesley is an okay Cryo DPS here, while Rosaria is a good support. Navia is a great DPS with the right supports, whereas Kachina is a good Cinder City holder. If you are using them with their trial builds, they will struggle in later stages, so use them early on.

Special Guest Stars

The Special Guest Stars lineup is… weird to say the least. There is Lauma, but without some of the Electro or Pyro characters, her synergy is very restricted.

Klee and Sucrose have good synergy together and with Mona, and the latter can also hold VV for resistance shred, so she is great regardless. There is Chasca as well, but you can only rely on Hydro and Cryo supports for her. We saved Klee just so we can trigger melts with Chasca.

Act 3 – Emperor of Fire and Iron

This boss is a walk in the park if you have Furina and Neuvillette. These two, alone with no support, can do the trick. However, not everyone has them. If you have just Furina, her Hydro application and Sub-DPS potential are great here.

Your first priority would be to consistently deal with the Pyro shield of the crab. So, characters like Furina, Xingqiu, Kokomi, Yelan, Ayato (as an on-field), and even Aino would be great.

Useful Tips

We found that the trial Navia with a decent-built Xingqiu, Rosaria, and Yelan was able to beat the boss without getting the Star reward. A well-built Navia or even better supports, instead of Rosaria, would definitely be able to take it down within the Star limit.

Act 6 – Radiant Moongecko

The Radiant Moongecko is a recent addition to the Radiant Beasts family, and can be a nuisance if you don’t have the right elements. You need to heal to max to counter its Radiant Cocoon. Furina, Barbara, Xilonen, and Escoffier have great healing for that.

Geo characters like Navia, Zhongli, Itto, and Zibai are great to break the gecko’s shield. You don’t necessarily need the premium teams either. We did it with Barbara, Zibai, Illuga, and Gorou.

There were 15 seconds left to the challenge, so it should be achievable even without Gorou. Navia, especially with the trial build, struggles here, so it’s best to have other strategies.

Useful Tips

If you don’t have a good healer, even a level 70 Barbara would be fine due to her quick burst of healing. Decent artifacts and Prototype Amber help tremendously, of course.

The boss is not that difficult, so long as you understand its attack pattern and have Geo characters with decent DPS.

Act 8 – Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant

Think of your fight with the Emperor of Fire and Iron, and double the trouble. You need a good Hydro application and even better DPS for this boss. If you have Neuvillette and Furina, you should definitely try to save one of their vigor for this boss.

Other decent options include Yelan and Xingqiu (be close to it when casting Skill for it to hit). Columbina is also very good if you have a Geo character to deal lunar-crystallize damage on the side.

Useful Tips

We tried using Zibai here, but unless you have decent double Hydro application units, it is very difficult. Our completion team was Zhongli, Neuvillette, Columbina, and Illuga. The damage distribution was surprisingly even thanks to Illuga’s buffs at C6.

Act 10 – Primo Geovishap

Despite being the final boss here, it doesn’t necessarily require a special best-in-slot team. It’s a simple DPS check, and even the attack that needs to be countered with a shield can be dealt with with a simple trick.

Let the Geovishap hit you once while you have an elemental aura on yourself, so it can generate a crystal. Pick it up and don’t let it deplete, so you can use it as a shield to counter the big hit.

Useful Tips

We used a Diona just for her shield, but found the other method to also be reliable. If you want to practice beforehand, the overworld version of this boss is available in Liyue.

Whatever team you are about to use, make sure you get the buff for them with Fantasia Flowers before the battle. This will be your last fight.

First Arcana Challenge

You need to deal with 10 Consecrated Beasts that spawn one after another. They spawn at the same spot, so it is easy to do your setup and consistently dish out damage.

Both lunar-crystallize and freeze teams performed well here, but freeze felt more comfortable as the enemies did not scatter too far from the spawn point. Anything is good here as long as it deals good damage, honestly.

Useful Tips

Bring a reliable DPS, better if it’s Cryo or Hydro, and support them with the opposite elements to freeze the enemy. Have enough ER to do rotations consistently and do your best.

Second Arcana Challenge

The final Arcana challenge contains the battle-hardened granny. The best way to deal with her is with freeze or overload, and since you have only one of those options, better gear up those Hydro and Cryo units.

Fortunately, the boss can be brute-forced, so if you have borrowed a strong unit from one of your friends, see if you can use it here.

Useful Tips

We borrowed a C6 Chasca from a friend and used Klee, Ayato, and Citlali for this fight. Ayato and Klee are just here to give Chasca her element bullets, so you can replace them with anyone else. Citlali held TTDS, which helped Chasca deal more damage.

The fight was trivial even without freezing the enemy.

Ending Credits

That’s all. Remember, this is endgame content and at the maximum difficulty. Imaginarium Theater is always a quantity-over-quality check, requiring you to bring as many units as possible.

If you can’t clear it, you can always go for the lower difficulties, because not everyone has everything built. That said, if we missed or forgot to mention something that will tremendously help others, do let us know so we can improve it!
