Vaporizer is the new mini-boss in ARC Raiders, added with the recent Flashpoint update. It is an armored flying ARC with a strong resemblance to the Rocketeer. Vaporizer is equipped with a laser gun that deals devastating damage to both the shield and health of a Raider.
It melts shields and health quickly, making Vaporizer a deadly new ARC. Moreover, it possesses a dome shield similar to the Matriarch, making it difficult to hit with Seeker Grenades and Wolfpacks. However, there are ways to tackle the Vaporizer effectively. Here’s how you can find and defeat it in ARC Raiders.

How to Find the Vaporizer in ARC Raiders
You can find the Vaporizer only during the new Close Scrutiny map condition. It spawns near the ARC Assessor, patrolling around it to protect it. The ARC Assessor is a big lootable ARC machine that drops down into the map. As it becomes active, it shoots a red beam into the sky. All you have to do is follow the red beam to reach the ARC Assessor, and you will find the Vaporizer or even two Vaporizers patrolling around it.
The Close Scrutiny map condition is a major map condition and is available on four maps.
- Dam Battlegrounds
- Buried City
- Spaceport
- Blue Gate
If the Close Scrutiny condition is active, load into it and head for the ARC Assessor to encounter the Vaporizer.
How to Defeat the Vaporizer in ARC Raiders
Vaporizer is a strong mini-boss with a lot of similarities to the Queen and the Matriarch. Despite looking like a Rocketeer, Vaporizer shoots a laser like the queen that deals fire damage to the shield and health. Moreover, it has the same shield dome as the Matriarch that protects it from grenades like Seekers and Wolfpacks.
Defeating the Vaporizer is very similar to dealing with the Rocketeer, but it requires extra caution. Right off the bat, do not fight the Vaporizer out in the open. Its laser attack will quickly melt your shield and health. You should always engage it from cover, such as inside a building or under a roof.
The Vaporizer has eight thrusters arranged in two groups of four. If you are using a heavy-ammo weapon like the Anvil, target the thrusters and destroy two groups to bring it down to the ground. Stick to a peek, shoot, and hide approach. If you stay exposed, the laser will catch you quickly.
As you deal more damage to the Vaporizer, it will deploy its dome shield for a short time. Wait for the shield to go down, then repeat the process of targeting its thrusters.
In addition to the Anvil, you can also use the Hullcracker against it. However, this requires multiple stacks of Launcher Ammo. Conserve your ammo while the shield is active, then fire your launcher to deal explosive damage once it drops.
Lastly, if you prefer riding ARCs, bring a Snap Hook and a Deadline. Use the Snap Hook to latch onto the Vaporizer, then place the Deadline on top of it to defeat it instantly.
