What is the Close Scrutiny Map Condition in ARC Raiders
The Close Scrutiny map condition is a new major modifier available on four out of the five maps: Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, Spaceport, and Blue Gate. During this map condition, the following changes are applied to the raid:
- No active locked doors.
- Decreased amount of overall loot value
- Increased amount of ARC loot.
The Close Scrutiny map condition revolves around looting the ARC Assessor. As you deploy into this map condition, you will spot a Surveyor calling in an ARC Assessor by firing a blue beam. After a few moments, the ARC Assessor will descend and shoot a red beam into the sky.
This indicates that the ARC Assessor is active and ready to be breached by raiders. However, a group of strong ARC enemies will be patrolling around it, so you need to be careful when approaching.
How to Loot the ARC Assessor Easily in ARC Raiders
An ARC Assessor has three breachable slots. While it is active, platforms will appear that you can stand on to begin the breaching process. It takes some time for all three platforms to become active, so it is best to stay hidden from ARC enemies during this phase.
Once all platforms are active, move onto them, deploy smoke, and begin breaching to collect the loot. This approach helps you stay protected from nearby ARC enemies and makes it easier to escape safely.
Another method is to use the Photoelectric Cloak to get close to the ARC Assessor and wait until the ARCs go to a bit distance. After that, you can start breaching to loot the items. If any ARC is about to come back, deploy the smoke to hide your position and keep looting the items.

- Prioritize PvE lobbies, especially during the first week, to get a hang of the map condition.
- PVE lobbies will make the map condition more engaging as other raiders will help you fight off Vaporizers, Rocketeers, and other ARC enemies around ARC Assessor.
- Bring a decent kit with Medium Shield to hold off the ARC enemies.
- Always deploy smoke bombs before breaching the ARC Assessor.
- If you are in PVP lobbies, you have to be more careful of the surroundings before looting the ARC Assessor.
- Try to sneak your way to the ARC Assessor in the PVP lobbies and do not engage with Vaporizer or other mini-bosses in the area.
- Defeating the ARCs around the ARC Assessor only brings more ARC mini-bosses.
