The world of Pywel includes numerous towers across its region, and every tower is a way to an Abyss Gate in Crimson Desert. One of the towers the players can come across in the Hernand region is the Spire of Insight. Similar to other towers in the world, you would have to solve a puzzle to get to the top to access the Abyss Gate.
Getting to the top of the Spire of Insight requires players to find a series of items scattered around on three different floors. We will walk you through the Spire of Insight puzzle in Crimson Desert, including the necessary items for each floor.

Spire of Insight Puzzle Walkthrough in Crimson Desert
Location of the Spire of Insight Tower
The Spire of Insight is located southeast of the Hernand region. If you head south of the Greymane Camp at Howling Hill, you will see the tower clearly. Simply follow the path to head south, and you will reach the Church. From the church, climb up the small mountain to get to the Spire of Insight tower.
How to Get Inside the Spire of Insight
As you get in front of the tower, you will spot some thorns sticking out of the ground. Clear the thorns using the “Blinding Flash” ability by pressing L1+R1, and then focus the light on the thorns by pressing L1. After clearing your way to the gate, you need to place the “pebble” into the bowl on the door. As you place the pebble, the door to the Spire of Insight tower will open.
First Floor Puzzle Items
As we mentioned in the introduction, getting to the top of the tower will require you to find specific items on each floor. The hints about the items are in the book on the platform with a golden bowl. Examining the book on the platform on the first floor will give you the clue: “Even after many years have passed, the traces left behind revive forgotten tales.”
The answer to this clue is a “Gravestone”, which you can find on a table to the right of the platform. Walk over to the table on the right and carry the Gravestone. Now, bring it over to the bowl and place it inside. The bowl will shine a golden light and start rising up.
Second Floor Puzzle Items
Upon reaching the second floor, the book will update, requiring you to find two items now. Examine the book to get the clue: “Records filled with wisdom guide us to the past, while tools that look to distant places illuminate the future.”
The items you need to find to progress to the third floor are a pen tip and a telescope. Go to the back right of the floor to find the telescope on the table. Carry the telescope and place it inside the bowl. Now, head to the back left side of the floor to find an entrance to a room. Enter the room and go to the table on the left. Use the precise aim while holding the L1 and carry the Pen Tip from the table. Now, go and place it in the bowl to advance to the third floor.
Third Floor Puzzle Items
As you reach the third floor, the book will update again. Examine the book to get the clue: “The dance of the heavens, the turning of the Earth, and the march of time all point to a single truth.” With this clue, we have to find three items to advance to the top floor and reach the Abyss Gate.
The items you need to collect are the small map rotator, Celestial, and Sundial. As it is a small room, it should not be hard to find these items. Go to the right of the platform to find the small map rotator. Continue along the shelves ahead to find Celestial next to the Gold Bar Recipe. Lastly, go directly in front of the platform to find the sundial.
Carry each item and place it into the bowl to advance to the top. As you reach the top, the Spire of Insight quest (puzzle) will conclude. At the top of the tower, you will find the Abyss Gate, which will take you to the Chaos Forest Abyss puzzle.
