While fast traveling is one way to reach your destination quickly in Crimson Desert, the sprawling map of Pywel is best taken in on a mount if you actually want to appreciate it. Beyond standard horses, though, there are legendary animals to chase down, and the recent update lets you claim a few of them as mounts, including the Silver Fang, a large wolf with a distinctive white fur.

Claiming the Silver Fang as a mount in Crimson Desert is a lot more complicated than you’d imagine. Because there’s a fairly long list of prerequisite quests you must work your way through first before the legendary canine even spawns, and those quests are a slog to get through.

Legendary Silver Fang Location in Crimson Desert

You’ll find the legendary Silver Fang at the Howling Hollow cave if you follow the northwestern road from the Hernand North Gate. The cave itself is south of where it reads “the Ancient Rift” on the map.

Silver Fang Prerequisite Quests

As mentioned earlier, some conditions need to be met for Silver Fang to spawn in its den, and it all comes down to unlocking the Legendary Wolf side quest under the House Celeste questline.

To achieve this, you need to work through the following steps:

1. Complete the Jeffrey bounty tutorial for House Celeste.
2. Finish the entire House Robert questline, including tasks like clearing the quarry and operating the crane.
3. Start the House Serkis questline, beginning with the Lord Amidst the Ruins quest.
4. For House Alfonso, help Baron Alfonso find his son Graham and continue through all six submissions in this questline.
5. Return to House Serkis and stick with it until you complete the Secret of the Lost Seal quest.
6. Progress further with House Celeste by liberating the Abandoned Factory from the Queen Spider and recommissioning it, along with completing the Hellhounds subquest.
7. Around this point, you should also receive the questline Hernadian Parish of Solumen faction, where you are tasked with finding a missing reliquary.
8. Then complete all six subquests for the Vellua Fisherman’s Guild faction by getting rid of the pirates terrorizing the region.

Once everything above is done, you will be able to start the Legendary Wolf quest for House Celeste, which you can pick up from a woman just north of the Springtide Mill.

Finally, track down and slay Black Fang to wrap up the Legendary Wolf quest. Once this is done, Silver Fang’s spawn will be triggered

How to Summon the Silver Fang Wolf Mount in Crimson Desert

To get Silver Fang as a summonable mount, follow these steps:

1. Visit Howling Hollow, where you’ll find Silver Fang among a pack of smaller wolves in the area.
2. Slay Silver Fang and skin it to acquire the Fang of Silver Fang key item.
3. Visit Elowen, the Witch, at her lair, and if you haven’t unlocked her yet, consider making some progress in the story until you’re halfway into Chapter 5.
4. Open her workshop menu and select Craft Abyss Gear.
5. In the crafting panel, cycle with RT/LT to reach the Special Items tab, and craft the Sigil of Solidarity using the Fang of Silver Fang. After that, head into your inventory, find the Sigil of Solidarity, and use it.
6. This’ll register Silver Fang as a mount, and to summon it, hold the D-pad up and cycle through your mounts until Silver Fang appears. After that, you can call it just as you would any of your horses by pressing the D-pad up.
