Recommended Preparation for Crowcaller Boss

Before you head inside the Crownest to face Crowcaller, make sure you are prepared. There is an Abyss Nexus right before the fight, so you can take a leave and prepare accordingly, and face him effectively.
Gear Recommendation
Mainly, you want to refine/upgrade the tiers of your gear for more attack power and defense. Here is what I recommend you should have at least for the fight.
- Tier 4 Helm
- Tier 4 Armor
- Tier 4 Gloves
- Tier 4 Boots
- Tier 4 Weapon
- Tier 4 Shield
- Tier 3 Rings, Earnings, and a Necklace
There is no specific recommendation for the armor and weapon, but you should have the Sword of the Lord at this point. Upgrade this sword at the Blacksmith to enhance the damage. Moreover, do not forget the shield, as you will be using it to block and parry the strikes during the fight.
Food Recommendation
Bringing a decent amount of food is crucial in this fight, as you will take a lot of fury hits from Crowcaller. Cook up some Grilled Meat and Skewers, as meat is extremely easy to get. You can heal and restore Spirit throughout the fight to use skills effectively and survive without a sweat. Take about 30 Grilled Meat and 10 Skewers, and it will be more than enough for you to handle the Crowcaller.
Crowcaller Boss Fight – Attacks and Counter

The Crowcaller boss has about four moves in total, but he advances those attacks in each phase.
- Dodge: Crowcaller will dodge away to create distance from you to strike either a claw strike or a dive bomb.
- Claw Strike: Crowcaller rushes to you while jumping up and swinging to land a claw strike with the swords.
- Counter: You can easily counter the claw strike either by dodging to the side or parrying it. It is a single strike, so it is easy to parry and advance with your strikes.
- Swift Slashes: Crowcaller will unleash numerous slashes on you with his dual sword weapon.
- Counter: You can parry the swift slashes to push Crowcaller back. It will disrupt his attack and give you the advantage to charge him with your attacks. Alternatively, you can keep rolling back or to the side to stay safe from the hits.
- Dive Bomb: Crowcaller flies into the air and dives at your position.
- Counter: You cannot simply block the dive bomb attack, as it is a heavy attack. You must dodge it to the side to avoid the damage. The area of the landing will turn red before the Crowcaller dives. However, you must dodge a bit after, as there is a delay in the attack. If you dive early, the Crowcaller will catch you at your new position.
Crowcaller Boss Fight – Phase One

In the first phase, the Crowcaller will be minimal with his attacks. He will be less aggressive, which makes the incoming attacks easy to counter. You can easily tackle the Crowcaller by using the Blinding Flash and Force Palm Skills.
Use the Blinding Flash to stun the boss and advance with heavy attacks to deal great damage. Moreover, as you are on your last hit, you can quickly use the Force Palm to boost the stagger gauge below Crowcaller’s health. Once the Crowcaller is staggered, you can easily deplete his health bar to trigger the second phase.
Additionally, while he is using his sword attacks, try to parry to disrupt him. You can easily get two hard hits on him and back away.
Crowcaller Boss Fight – Phase Two

During the second phase, the Crowcaller attacks’ intensity will increase. He will be more aggressive and use Dive Bomb two times in a row. Moreover, he will use the Dive Bomb frequently in this phase. Do not over dodge to become vulnerable; only dodge when you see him coming down to avoid the hit. As the dive bomb moves end, rush to him to hit the heavy attacks to deal great damage.
Other than that, the procedure of the fight will remain the same. Prefer parry for the sword attacks to disrupt him and then get your hits in.
Crowcaller Boss Fight – Phase Three

The third phase is the hardest of the fight, as the Crowcaller will become the most aggressive. He will use the Dive Bomb to hit you three times in a row. Moreover, before he flies up to unleash the triple dive bomb, he will have a protective shield on him. You cannot hit him while the shield is active, so it is better to back off and only avoid getting hit by the Dive Bomb. Lastly, he will also try to grab and hold you in a place in the third phase. You can easily avoid it by dodging to the side.
Overall, the main tactics of the fight stay the same. Be quick on your feet to avoid the hits and disrupt him during his sword attacks.
