Despite multiple confirmations, an official countdown, and a mistaken announcement by Pitchfork¹, ‘Bully’ , Kanye West‘s forthcoming album ‘Bully’ has not been released and the page for it on Spotify has been deleted.

Slated for March 27th, 2026, current information points towards a delay to allow West to redo the album without AI due to fan backlash after a leak of the vinyl version.

So is it delayed?

West has said nothing officially, but the album has missed its release window (it was expected to have a stepped release at 12am for each timezone). Kanye West fans online are generally unsurprised, as West is known for delaying his albums; For reference, his longest delay was roughly 531 days for ‘The Life of Pablo’. ‘Bully’ itself was teased in late 2024, partially released in 2025, deleted, then rescheduled for January 2026.

That said, this news comes only a day after Kanye West’s tweet that “Bully is on the way no AI” on X, which now looks less like a confirmation of the album being released on time, and more like proof of a delay.

The physical version leaked two days before.

Reddit’s r/ThroughtheWire were listening to a leaked version of the album ahead of release and complained about its use of AI, which may have caused West’s delay.

Paired with West’s tweet of “Bully is on the way no AI”, it appears that West is delaying the album as a response to the poor response to the leak, and hoping to retool it without AI. “Bully is on the way” appears to mean “be patient, it’s coming” rather than just the tease it was initially taken as by many publications².

YE isn’t cancelling the listening parties.

Alongside the release of ‘Bully’ Kanye West announced a host of lsitening parties, which have already begun to play the new album. That said, fans on Reddit are saying this is doesn’t disprove a delay:

Earlier this month, West postponed his New Delhi show due to concerns surrounding the war. It’s unclear whether this will affect the tour as well.

What’s next?

For now, Kanye West nor his team have said nothing officially, but we’ll will keep the story updated as it evolves. As of now it appears that another major delay is on its way.
