After being executed for a crime she didn’t commit, Etrange von Rosenburg finds herself condemned to hell. She faces plenty of trials, and the trophy list does reflect this. To that end, we have put together this trophy guide to help you get the platinum in Etrange Overlord.
There are 46 trophies (including platinum) in Etrange Overlord, and it took us around 24 hours to finish the list. Overall, the game is about a 3/10 difficulty because nothing is missable, but a chunk of trophies require a decent grind.
As you might expect, some of the trophies below do spoil things, so reader beware.

LVing Your Best Life
Leveled up for the first time
You level up in Etrange Overlord by completing missions, so you’ll get this automatically with the story.
A Chortie’s Ransom
Spent 1,000,000 Dark at Chortie’s Shop
Chortie’s Shop opens up after you acquire the Macaron. You can hold the triangle button while exploring the world to return to it. Upgrade materials for fully leveling lanes and weapons will end up costing quite a bit, so you’ll get this without trying for it.
Amateur Chef a la Mode
Cooked for the first time
You can cook after unlocking the Macaron, and you should have enough ingredients to make something. If not, Chortie sells recipes and ingredients.
Having Your Cake and Eating It Too
Cooked 50 times
You simply have to cook 50 times, not make 50 different dishes. This is the last thing I did, but cooking is cheap, and you have easy access to ingredients with the shop, so you can do this whenever you want.
Steeling Your Resolve
Enhanced a weapon for the first time
This will be available once you have access to the Macaron. Enhancement levels are granted through leveling up, but you can start making level two gear early on, and you should have the materials once you hit that point. If you don’t, Chortie sells the base materials.
Speak Loudly and Carry a Big Gun
Fully enhanced an ally’s weapon
Weapons go up to level five, but the ability to upgrade to that point isn’t granted until near the end of the game. Level five upgrades require a large amount of materials, but Chortie sells a few of the required types. The rest will need to be gained through missions or dispatches.
Armed to the Sweet Tooth
Fully enhanced all allies’ weapons
The best thing to do is focus on the characters that share the same material requirements, so you can put your dispatch characters that get Weapon Enhancement Materials in only one area at a time. You can check what areas give what materials by going to the character’s section in Schwartz’s menu and pressing triangle.
They all require two or three battles to bring in rewards, so you can always just run Hell 1-1, as it is a very fast mission. However, this is only recommended if you already have the trophies for 10,000 enemies and 300 Special Attacks.
After you acquire Doomaz, be sure you are in the same area that he is dispatched to when making any purchases, as he grants you a 30% discount at every store.
Getting on the Lane Train
Enhanced a lane for the first time
The materials with a music note icon are then used at Ignacio’s shop to enhance the items that flow through the lanes. It doesn’t matter which you upgrade, but it doesn’t hurt to upgrade the bomb’s range first because of the trophy for getting 300 kills with them.
The Lane Reigns Supreme
Fully enhanced all lane items
It is best to do this after you have gotten the trophy for fully enhancing all allies’ weapons because you will have a lot of leftover material to sell to Chortie. Unlike weapon materials, Chortie sells all of the necessary materials for lane enhancement, so you don’t have to waste dispatches getting them.
After you acquire Doomaz, be sure you are in the same area that he is dispatched to when making any purchases, as he grants you a 30% discount at every store.
When in Doubt, Scout
Ally made first dispatch results report
You’ll get this without any effort, as dispatches are necessary for fully enhancing all allies’ weapons, so you can’t avoid using them.
Hatch, Match, and Dispatch
Allies made 30 dispatch results reports
You’ll get this without any effort, as dispatches are necessary for fully enhancing all allies’ weapons, so you can’t avoid using them.
Resistance is Futile
Put down a revolt for the first time
You should get this without too much trouble, but just send Etrange to the area most likely to revolt when you first learn about dispatching, and she should handle it.
If you don’t get it early on, you can always wait until you add God to your team, as God has a 100% chance to win against any revolt.
Attack on Macaron
Destroyed 500 objects with the Macaron
As the world isn’t all that big, just drive into everything with the Macaron. The area behind Hell 2-4 has plenty of things to destroy. That said, you don’t need to really go out of your way on this, as it’s very likely to happen naturally.

Mission Commission
Cleared 50 missions
Missions are the individual checkboxes for the various levels in the game. These aren’t only the combat-based levels, as the Side and Chef Stories are also missions. Altogether, there are 84 individual levels in the game, so even if you only get the mission completed for clearing each level, you’ll still get this trophy just from playing the game.
Gonna Be Missin’ Those Missions!
Cleared all missions
There are 155 total missions across the game’s 84 levels. While each level has a standard mission just for beating it, there are regularly more challenging ones that are unknown unless you complete them or finish the mission for the first time.
These missions can be quite a few different things, like using certain devices, killing a certain number of enemies with special attacks, or finishing the level within a certain time.
Overall, none of these were all that hard to do, and I never had to play any level more than twice for clean up. If you ever struggle, the game has a Sweets mode in the difficulty settings that increases all allies’ HP and can help with getting these done if you need it.
Expanding the War Chest
Defeated your first rare monster
This is technically story-related, as the first rare monster you can possibly encounter is directly called out in the game as part of a tutorial. You can’t possibly miss it.
Sparkle Sparkle
Investigated Sparkly Spots 300 times
This is another trophy that you’ll have to specifically focus on, and I didn’t have it done by the end of the game. There just aren’t that many Sparkly Spots in the game, so you’ll need to just keep going through every region and picking these up until you get the 300.
Death by Etrange
Defeated 100 enemies
You will get this just by progressing the story.
Doing the Stepping On
Defeated 1,000 enemies
You will get this just by progressing the story.
The Most Powerful, Sinister, and Terrifying Human Weapon
Defeated 10,000 enemies
Sadly, this isn’t something you’re likely to have by the time you finish the game. I believe I was at 4,000-5,000, and I had completed every single mission. The good news is that you’ll need to do plenty of additional levels to trigger dispatch rewards, so you won’t just be grinding this by itself.
The best mission for this is Mortal Coil 2-4 or Heaven 3-2 while playing as Schwartz due to him being perfect for crowd control.
Special Delivery!
Use Special Attacks 300 times
This is another trophy you’re unlikely to have by the end of the game. It is normal for missions to offer 2-6 Special Attack items, which just isn’t enough to meet the 300. That said, always use these. Even if you’re just wasting them, don’t let them go to waste because grinding them out is annoying.
The best mission for these is also Mortal Coil 2-4. While the number of Special Attack items varies in that mission, I was regularly getting more than 10, and the mission that got me the trophy had a whopping 20 in it.
Some Days You Just Can’t Stop Getting Rid of Bombs
Took down 300 enemies with bombs
Bombs are annoying to use because you can’t always guarantee they will kill, and the starting range and power are terrible. When you can, focus on upgrading bombs with Ignacio and then just use them like crazy. I did have this by the time I finished the game, but it was slow progress for a while.
Eternal Rest: Denied
Revive performed a total of 10 times
When an ally’s HP reaches 0 in a level, they will be knocked out, and you can run up and revive them. To get this done early, go into a level with a pit (Hell 2-3) and fall into it yourself until you get knocked out. Your controlled character will switch, you can revive them, and then repeat the process with the character you now control.
This is not possible if you have Sweets Mode on, as it greatly reduces fall damage.
A Resourceful Rosenburg
Recovered 50 items
You will get this without even trying, just by playing the game.
No RIP for the VIP
Cleared a stage with the defense target still at 100% HP
Your first chance to get this is in Hell 1-3. It’s not entirely simple, as the defense target loves to wander, and you can’t corral them all that well. This took me a couple of tries just because I wanted it out of the way, but it can’t hurt to return later when you have powered up the level’s required characters.
Winning the Turf War
Occupied 10 locations
By locations, the game is referring to the levels where you replace the enemy’s flag with yours after winning. That said, you will get this without trying, as it is basically story-related.
Heavyweight-Class Monster
Acquired 100 attack boost items
These are the sword lane pickups. There isn’t any doubt you’ll get this by the end of the game, especially as you can upgrade them to let you pick up more than one at once.
I’ll Be Your Armor
Acquired 50 null attack items
These are the shield lane pickups. There isn’t any doubt you’ll get this by the end of the game, especially as you can upgrade them to let you pick up more than one at once.
Hungry Hungry Hellspawn
Acquired 100 healing items
These are the cake lane pickups. Healing items are the most plentiful, so you will probably get this before the other two lane item-based trophies.
De-Vice Is Its Own Reward
Used energy-type devices 200 times in battle
Devices are those dark structures that follow lanes, and you have to use the music note pickups to charge. You are unlikely to get this just from playing the game, but the best way to farm it is to go to the missions with the healing devices, like Mortal Coil 3-2, and just keep charging those.
I honestly could never tell if allies charging the devices actually made any difference for this trophy, but it can’t hurt to press R1 twice in a level and set ally focus to Devices.
