Crimson Desert made its official debut on March 19 2026, immediately exploding in popularity. Since its launch, the title has already sold upwards of 2 million units across all platforms.
Many have also wondered whether Crimson Desert is available on Xbox Game Pass, the popular subscription service with hundreds of high-quality games for a cheap monthly price. Here’s the answer.
Crimson Desert Launch Platforms

Crimson Desert comes from Pearl Abyss, the team behind Black Desert Online. Building on many of the MMO’s strengths, the game introduces a single-player adventure unlike any other, promising immersive gameplay enough to keep players busy for hundreds of hours.
Pearl Abyss’ ambitions mean that Crimson Desert was designed specifically for next-generation consoles and PC. Currently, the game is available on the PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series S/X, and PC.
The PC release also means Crimson Desert can be played on handhelds like the Steam Deck, but the quality of the experience might not be the best on older handhelds.
Is Crimson Desert Available On Game Pass?

Unfortunately, Crimson Desert is not currently available on Game Pass. Pearl Abyss launched the game as a premium release priced at $70 across all platforms, ruling out the option of a subscription-based launch entirely.
Because the game is doing so well right now, it also seems unlikely for it to show up on Game Pass anytime soon. However, once the initial excitement dwindles, the studio could consider launching it on the subscription.
After all, Game Pass has been home to massive AAA hits like Cyberpunk 2077, GTA 5, and more. Crimson Desert would fit in easily with the massive catalog to subscribers on both Xbox Series S/X and PC.
Keep in mind that Pearl Abyss and Microsoft have also previously come together to offer Black Desert Online on Game Pass. Therefore, a similar deal is entirely possible for Crimson Desert a year or two from now.
