What is Miks Agent in VALORANT

Miks Agent

Miks is a controller character, packed with abilities to hold the site, boost allies with combat stims, and concuss enemies to create space. After seeing the Showmatch yesterday, we have a great idea on how well Miks can perform with other characters to have a strong team synergy.

His ability to boost allies with combat stim also gives him a boost on every kill, and the stim refreshes after every kill. This is not even his strongest ability. The most busted move of Miks is his Ultimate, Bassquake. As Miks unleashes a Sonic Radiance, it knocks back the players while deafening and slowing them. It is like a powerful version of Breach’s Rolling Thunder.

All Miks Abilities and How to Use Them Effectively

Harmonize (Q)

Harmonize Ability
  • EQUIP Harmonize. Target an ally and FIRE to activate a Combat Stim on yourself and the ally that refreshes with each kill. ALT-FIRE to grant Combat Stim to yourself.

It is a single charge ability, and you can either harmonize with your single teammate or yourself. As the effect becomes active, every kill your teammate gets will reset the effect for them and you. To get the most value out of it, harmonize your team’s duelist so that they can get the entry frag easily and stim you as you rush into the site with others.

M-pulse (C)

M-Pulse Ability
  • EQUIP M-pulse. ALT-FIRE to toggle between Concuss and Healing outputs. FIRE to throw the device. Upon landing, M-pulse sends out sound waves, either Concussing or Healing players.

It has two charges, and you can switch between the Concuss and Healing. As you place down the device, its effect becomes active immediately, so you cannot use it like a trip. You must place the concuss at real-time to concuss the nearby enemy, vice versa to heal your teammates and yourself.

The best part about this device is that its effect goes through walls. To get the most value out of it, place it behind a cover to concuss the enemy on the other side, so that you can swing them with an advantage. However, the device can be broken with a single shot or a knife strike.

Waveform (E)

Waveform Ability
  • PC: EQUIP a Map Targeter. FIRE to set locations. ALT-FIRE to spawn Smokes at selected locations.
  • Console: EQUIP a Map Targeter. ALT-FIRE to set locations. FIRE to spawn Smokes at selected locations.

It has two charges, and you can place both smokes at a time, like Brimstone and Clove. The map interface is similar to Brimstone’s, but the duration of the smokes is lower than Brimstone’s. However, the smokes go up instantly, which is a great advantage.

To place down smokes effectively, you must play Miks at the center of the map while defending, so you can smokes for both sites simultaneously. On attack, you can deploy smokes as your team is about to rush in to block off angles. Lastly, the smokes have a 40-second cooldown.

Bassquake (X)

  • EQUIP Bassquake. FIRE to build up and unleash Sonic Radiance forward, knocking back, Deafening, and Slowing players.

The ultimate of Miks is very similar to Breach’s Rolling Thunder (Ultimate). It knocks back, deafens, and slows down the players in the ultimate area. However, the area of the ultimate is not as big as Breach’s, so you have to place the ultimate precisely to target as many enemies as you can. The big advantage of the ultimate is that it is instant. Be ready to push in and call your team while placing the ultimate to get the most value out of it.

How to Play Miks Effectively

How To Play Miks

Miks is an easy agent to play, especially if you have some experience with controllers. If your team is looking for an agent with heals or someone who can hold the site and help them push in a site, then Miks is the one. You can easily swap it with Clove and Brimstone.

While playing as attackers, harmonize your team’s duelist before they rush into a site. This will make the entry frag easier for them and earn you a stim as well. Moreover, place down the smokes in the site to cover the angles before entering. Once you are on the site, clear the site, and then hold it for the defenders to push the spike.

For the post plant, play in cover where you can deploy the M-pulse (concuss) without exposing the device. This way, you can get easy kills and win post-plant fights. Moreover, if you have your ultimate, you can play a bit further from the spike to unleash the sonic radiance to push the defender off the spike and deafen them.

Smoke Both Sites

While playing as defenders, play at the center of the map. This way, you will be able to smoke both sites. Once you get the call of the attackers on one site, push together with your team. Redeploy the smoke on the site and harmonize (stim) your teammate before entering.

After getting an enemy’s location, throw the M-pulse to concuss them and take them easily. Moreover, you can place the healing down to heal your teammates and yourself. Lastly, if you have the ultimate ready, you can place it in the direction of the enemy to push them back from the cover. However, it is essential to know their location first; otherwise, you will be wasting the ultimate.

All Miks Agent Gear Rewards

As you play Miks and earn XP, you will progress his Agent Gear progression and unlock a reward at each tier. Here are all Miks’ agent gear rewards in VALORANT.

  • Tier 2: VALORANT Miks (Player Card)
  • Tier 3: Wub Wub (Title)
  • Tier 4: Feel the Beat (Spray)

  • Tier 7: Miks (Spray)
  • Tier 8: Bass Face (Title)
  • Tier 9: Sound is Resistance (Player Card)
