It’s a sad day for fans of Martial Arts and Action Movies, with the news of Chuck Norris’ passing at age 86. Fans all over the world gathered to pay their respect to this legend, who gave life to some of the most iconic Action Characters and inspired generations of both actors and athletes.
The Legend, Chuck Norris (1940-2026)

Just a few days before this tragic news, Norris was training as part of his daily routine and celebrated his 86th birthday, thanking his fans for all their love and support.
After TMZ broke the news of Norris being taken to hospital in Kauai on either March 18 or 19, the information regarding his health status looked positive. According to the source, he ‘was in good spirits and cracking jokes.’
Sadly, it seems like the star of Walker, Texas Ranger (among other series and movies), passed on later that Thursday.
According to ABC7, the family asked for his cause of death to be kept private.
“To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family.” – Official statement from his beloved family members.
Fans all across the globe have taken to various social media networks, including X (formerly Twitter), Bluesky, Facebook, and TikTok, to pay homage to Norris.
Chuck Norris debuted as part of the secondary cast of The Wrecking Crew, an action film directed by Phil Karlson. Here, he crossed paths with another legend of action flicks and martial arts, Bruce Lee, back in 1967, while both disputed martial arts champions.
Lee, with whom he formed a lasting bond of martial brotherhood, was among the people whom Chuck respected the most. They both trained together and shared martial arts techniques, as Lee developed his unique Jeet Kune Do style, after years under the tutelage of Grandmaster Ip Man.
Norris’ Legacy will live on in the hearts of millions of fans, martial artists, and athletes, since this great man inspired them to be better and to pursue their art with passion and courage. Rest in peace, Chuck. You’ll be missed.
