The Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer released with a bang on X (formerly Twitter), having been promoted throughout the day by single two second clips being regularly shared online. The trailer itself blows those clips away, being incredibly intriguing and fun in its whole.
One of the most anticipated things with Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is actually who Sadie Sink is playing in this movie. Her role has been a mystery to all of us ever since we found out she was cast in the movie, but fans have a solid idea on who her character is, and this trailer basically confirms it.
Who Is Jean Grey?

Jean Grey is a member of the X-Men, who are getting their own movie in 2028, and she is easily the most powerful one. Jean has numerous abilities, most notably telepathy and telekinesis (which I’ll get into later).
She recently made a reappearance to casual viewers with X-Men ’97, which was released. She is a truly iconic character, and this would be an unusual, but utterly captivating way to introduce her to the MCU.
Here’s The Evidence

We may not see Sadie Sink’s face in the whole trailer, but we know for a fact what scenes she’s in, and even the ones she’s partly in.
The first one was revealed through the clips I mentioned earlier, and it is of a figure with outstretched arms, almost taunting. We also see that this person is in what seems to be Peter Parker’s apartment. Most importantly, we’ve seen Sadie with that exact outfit in set leak photos.
The next scene, the only other one she’s in (physically), shows us a lot about her character and what may be going on for her in the movie.
She’s strapped to a chair in the middle of a fake bedroom where she presumably lives. Supposedly, Sadie’s character will have issues with the DODC, so this may be them trying to contain the power of Jean Grey.
This last one may be a long shot, but it could also be direct proof of Jean Grey’s presence in this movie. When Spider-Man rips the lid off the tank, we see something going through the people near him, taking control of themThis could be Jean Grey, a weaker, more inexperienced one, and also possibly taunting Spider-Man, as we saw in that first scene.
The evidence is solid that Sadie Sink is Jean Grey, not to mention how she’s going to reappear in Avengers: Secret Wars. Meaning, in short, she was always going to be a massive character for this universe, and who’s a better fit other than Jean?
