As is now tradition, the final gallery card of Marvel Rivals Season 7 has leaked and teased the next two heroes. Last season it was a black cat and a white fox, but this month it’s a little more cryptic.

Season 7’s Final Gallery Card Says “Scott” & ‘Exact-thought pattern of Rogue’

From the card, there’s no doubt that “Scott” is Scott Summers, Cyclops. He’s a hero that people have been waiting for, and it lines up perfectly with the teases of him in Doomsday too, but who is the “mysterious figure“?

From Jean’s mind-reading attempt, we know that she has the same thought patterns as Rogue (“the X-woman sitting across the table”), so who could that be?

Captain Marvel & Rogue’s History

In the comics (Avengers Annual #10), Rogue permanently absorbs Captain Marvel’s powers and, more important to this case, her memories and personality. From there, runs like Uncanny X-Men #171 show Carol’s psyche living inside Rogue’s head, sometimes even taking control. The only hitch is that it doesn’t quite look like Captain Marvel (a little sinister isn’t she? Maybe it’s an odd mixup and it’s Jean Grey’s clone instead, Goblyn Queen….).

Captain Marvel Has Been Circling for a While

Even if the reasoning is a bit niche, Captain Marvel has been a hero in the works for ages now. Leaked VO lines reference her, and got an ID in the files. Not to mention that’s she’s another big name that’ll build hype. It’s our opinion that Captain Marvel is locked in for Season 8.
