Seems like ARC Raiders Week 20 of Trials brought a meme-worthy Challenge: Go and Get Hit By Lightning! Players are losing their minds over this.
Get Hit By Lightning: Is Embark Studios Trolling ARC Raiders Players?

Among all my plans for the Weekend, getting Hit By Lightning was definitely not among my priorities. In fact, I never imagined I would have to consider putting it on my ‘to-do list,’ but here we are, doing strange things again in exchange for a chance to win some Blueprints and perhaps a Skin at the end of ARC Raiders Trials season.
We all know Trials is a way to score points by completing challenges, earning Stars in the process, and then some extra loot like Weapons, Blueprints, Mods, and such. But now, it seems that Embark Studios is at it again: Trolling players for the sake of it.
And don’t get me wrong: We’re having a blast (or more like being blasted ) with this Trials Challenge. In fact, some players have already found a way around it. Turns out, if you go to a party, the total score of getting hit by Lightning multiplies by 3, and again by 2 due to the Weather Condition. So, it’s a great way to score some extra points to climb the Trials rankings.
On the other hand, the meme potential of this challenge is already getting out of control.
And then again, a few weeks ago, ARC Raiders players were complaining about not having enough fun with trials. Well, there you got it, bud! Now go out there and hold that Piackaxe high, so that nature can smite you down.
After all, what is a game, if not one of the coolest ways to have fun by accomplishing great feats, or failing utterly hard while trying? This is the very essence of games, folks, it doesn’t get any better than this!
So, no, Embark Studios is not trolling ARC Raiders players; they are merely providing a service and doing a damn good job at it! Not too long ago, folks were gawking in disbelief as ARC Enemies evolved and started to fight back for real. And now, players need to get out there and get hit by lightning. It is what it is.
