DC’s Absolute Universe has become a staple of DC media despite its start only being in late 2024. This universe dominated the top comics of 2025 and is sure to continue doing so with its incredible writing and art.
Absolute Batman is the series that gets named most, both due to the iconic character and also because of the pure skill of the writer, Scott Snyder.
We already know that there are going to be five Robins introduced into the world, but we’ve recently gained more information about one of them. Scott Snyder has revealed that one Robin is going to be raised by the Joker.
The Absolute Robin Raised by Joker – What We Know So Far

Absolute Joker is wildly different than any Joker we have ever seen before. Jack Grimm was given all of the advantages that Bruce Wayne had in the original universe, but none of the morality.
Jack is actually immortal, using orphaned children in some way to artificially prolong his life. We can only presume that is also the cause of his monstrous second form.
So, why does he have a kid he’s raising and hasn’t killed? It’s with that question that this premise becomes increasingly more interesting. But the big question is, who could the Robin be?

We have next to no information about the Robins in the Absolute Universe, but it’s safe to assume that this specific Robin may just be Jason Todd.
In the original universe, Jason was brutally murdered by the Joker in an act of what is now comic history. Jason ended up coming back and taking on the alias of Joker’s past name, ‘Red Hood’.
This would be absolutely shocking to see for everyone, with the potential of it on its own already being unimaginable. Snyder also stated that this Robin firmly believes that Jack is a good person, so we may be getting to read his disillusionment as the story progresses.
Absolute Batman #19 is set to release on April 15th, and this will also be the first appearance of Absolute Scarecrow.
