Eating food can upgrade your different abilities. While eating a salad upgrades Leafage, eating a Hamburger Steak upgrades Rock Smash, and eating soup upgrades Water Gun.

Place your cooking pot on a stove, then interact with it. Then, add water and any other ingredients to make a type of soup. You can buy water at the Pokemon Center’s PC. After eating it, you will temporarily be able to spray water in a wider area.
