Slay the Spire 2 has introduced a lot of new events that have the chance to take place on a ‘?’ floor. With this comes the introduction of an event where you can stumble across a lone Byrdonis egg.

With this event comes two options that you can pick from. This guide will explain both options and which is the better option to choose in this event.

Should You Take the Byrdonis Egg?

When you stumble across this lone egg in a Byrdonis Nest, you are given two options. You can either eat the egg and gain HP, or you can take the egg. If you take the egg, it will only hatch once you go to a rest site. This does mean that you will have to use that rest site to hatch the egg, unless you have the miniature tent relic, which will allow you to rest, smith, and hatch the egg.

By hatching the egg, you get your very own Byrdpip that will fight for you and stand with you in combat. The card gets added to your deck, and is a 0-cost card.

For a 0-cost card, it is a pretty powerful attack, and one that you can get across any of the characters as long as you experience the event.
