Raising humidity in the Withering Wastes area is essential for the “Yawn Up a Storm”, a main request in Pokemon Pokopia. This request begins automatically after finding Slowpoke near the ocean and bringing him to the Pokemon Center.

At first, raising humidity seems like an easy task, but it can be confusing when making Slowpoke Yawn. If you are trying to raise the humidity in Pokemon Pokopia and go past the “humidity stuck at 71” point, then this guide will walk you through every step to reach humidity 100.

How to Raise Humidity in Pokemon Pokopia

To raise the humidity in the Withering Wastes to make Slowpoke yawn a 100-point yawn, you will have to perform the following actions.

  • Water the dry tiles
  • Place Horsesea Fountains
  • Create Field of Flowers habitat
  • Create Hydrated Tall Grass habitat
  • Create Rain Dance Site habitat

For creating the habitats, you will have to ask for help from Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Slowpoke. While you are working on raising the humidity, check in with Slowpoke and ask him to yawn to see your progress.

Water the Dry Tiles

Watering Dry Tiles

The initial action that you must take to start increasing the humidity is to water the dry tiles. Equip the Water Gun and start spraying water on the ground tiles. Cover as many ground tiles as you can with water. It is a simple method yet an effective one, as it will increase the overall humidity.

Place Horsea Fountains in the Water

Placing Horsea Fountains

Head northwest from the Pokemon Center to find a shiny rock. Use the Rock Smash move to break the rock and reveal the water. The water will start flowing out, filling up a small area.

Now, go to the PC and open the Shop to purchase two Horsea Fountains. Place one Horsea Fountain in the water. After that, start breaking the blocks around the water to expand the water in the area. Once done, place the second Horsea Fountain in any water.

Placing two Horsea Fountains will greatly increase the humidity level.

Create the Field of Flowers habitat

Field of Flowers

After watering the dry tiles in the Withering Wastes, speak with Bulbasaur. He will tell you about the Field of Flowers habitat. To make a Field of Flowers, lay down the Wildflower Seeds on the ground, and ask Bulbasaur to grow them. You can purchase the Wildflower Seeds from the Shop. Purchase a decent amount of seeds and ask Bulbasaur to follow you.

Place the Seeds

Start placing the seeds in different areas and ask Bulbasaur to grow them. The humidity level will increase with every Field of Flowers habitat you make.

Create the Hydrated Tall Grass Habitat

Hydrated Tall Grass Habitat

The next method involves creating the Hydrated Tall Grass habitats in Pokemon Pokopia. Speak with Squirtle for help with humidity, and he will tell you about the Hydrated Tall Grass habitat. To make this habitat, you need to place four tall grasses along any water’s edge.

Talk to Squirtle

After making a Hydrated Tall Grass habitat, speak with Squirtle again and ask it to follow you. Lead it to the habitat, and tell it that it is its new home. This will increase the comfort level of Squirtle, which will raise the overall humidity.

NOTE: If you have watered most of the dry tiles, placed Horsea Fountains, made many Field of Flowers, and moved Squirtle to its new home, then you most probably have raised the humidity past 71.

Professor Tangrowth

Create Rain Dance Site Habitat

For the final stretch of raising humidity to 100, you have to create a Rain Dance Site habitat. To get a hint on how to make this habitat, speak with Squirtle. For further hints, speak with Professor Tangrowth.

Rain Dance Site

He will tell you that there should be some Castform Weather charms near his bed in the cave. Head to the cave where you first met Professor Tangrow and inspect the gold spot in Pokemon Pokopia. You will get two Castform Weather charms. Alternatively, you can purchase the Castform Weather charms from the shop.

Castform Weather Charms

Now, you need to get a Wooden Plate and a Leppa Berry. Go to your workbench and craft a wooden plate using 1x Lumber. Once done, go to any wall and place the two Castform Weather Charms, the wooden plate, and a Leppa Berry on the plate. It will complete the Rain Dance Site habitat.

Restore Rain Dance Site Habitat

Once done, speak with Squirtle and bring it to the habitat. Squirtle will eat the berry and complete the rain dance party in Pokemon Pokopia.

Make Slowpoke Yawn a 100-Point Yawn

100-Point Yawn

Now, go to Slowpoke and ask him to give you a yawn. It will make him yawn instantly, which means he will yawn a 100-point yawn. However, if humidity is still low for you, try watering more dry tiles or creating more Fields of Flowers.
