The Broken Guidance System is a Rare industrial item in ARC Raiders. You can’t craft it. You can’t buy it. No item breaks down into it either. The only way to get one is to go out into a raid and find it yourself.
It shows up in Industrial-tagged locations on the map. You’ll recognize these spots by the factory icon above the location name.
Best Locations to Find a Broken Guidance System
Not all Industrial spots are worth your time. Here are the three best ones to check.
1. Hydroponic Dome Complex — Dam Battlegrounds
This is the safest and most consistent spot to find a Broken Guidance System. It’s usually quiet, fewer players come here compared to other POIs. Inside the large white domes, look for:
- Red toolboxes
- Breachable boxes
- Metal shelves
You can realistically find one per run here. The area is also close to an extraction lift, which is a bonus.
2. Assembly & Lobby — Stella Montis
Stella Montis has some of the best loot density in the game, and Assembly is the best spot on this map to find a Broken Guidance System.
The northern workshops are packed with drawers, toolboxes, and blue cabinets. Rare items drop here pretty regularly.
Lobby is also worth a quick sweep. The stairwell on the east side has several side rooms with containers. Drop rates for Rare items are solid here too.
However, this map is very popular with PvP players. If you don’t spawn close to these spots, they’ll likely already be looted by the time you arrive.
3. Rocket Assembly — Spaceport
This spot is less consistent than the other two, but still worth checking out. The location is on the east side of Spaceport, and it’s where rockets are under construction.
To find a Broken Guidance System here, look for panels with yellow warning labels, you can breach and open these. The building also has shipping containers and other lootable spots worth checking.
Watch out for Leapers, Bastions, and Rocketeers that patrol the west and south sides.
Some Quick Tips
Once you find the Broken Guidance System, put it in your safety pocket right away. That way, even if you die, you still keep it. Always try to load in early too, popular spots get looted fast, and late arrivals usually find empty containers.
When you’re searching, don’t skip any container type. Red lockers, breachable crates, and toolboxes can all have it. And don’t waste time on other maps like Buried City or The Blue Gate, they simply don’t drop this item.
If you just want to grab the Broken Guidance System and move on with Expedition 3, head straight to the Hydroponic Dome Complex on Dam Battlegrounds. It’s calm, the item shows up regularly, and you’re close to extraction once you’re done.
