The Titan Spinner (Giant Spider) is an early boss in Resident Evil Requiem. You can fight this beast as Leon in the NF Building in East Raccoon City during the Raccoon City arc. This area is represented by multi-level platforms, rooms with brick walls, and narrow halls.
The fight can be hard due to the tight layout of the arena, which favors mobility, so use corners and walls to finally break this boss. Here, you’ll find tips and tricks on how to beat the Titan Spinner boss in RE9, including the best weapons and tactics.
Best Loadout and Strategy

The fight takes place across several tight spaces, so your primary weapon should be good at close range with lots of shotgun shells scattered around. This way you can deal high damage to the spider’s weak points and stun it when it closes in. Here’s what you need to bring:
- Shotgun
- Requiem Revolver
- Sniper Rifle
- Pistol
- Hatchet
Note that you’ll be able to deal massive damage to its exposed back cysts from a distance. But don’t spend your ammo on its spiderlings, instead use your Hatchet to quickly get rid of them.
How to Beat Titan Spinner (Giant Spider)

As soon as you cut the first webs with your Hatchet at the start of the arena, Titan Spinner will crash in immediately. Try to shoot your Shotgun once or twice at its face, then run away, don’t try to fight. Sprint through hallways and cut more webs on your way, while picking shotgun shells and learning the pathways.
Soon, you’ll start seeing spiderlings crawling out, so be prepared to dodge the final ambush swipe at the fire exit. Only once you reach the upper floor, that’s when the actual fight really begins. Here’s how to beat this boss:
- Bait the spider and make it chase you towards one of the red tanks, which you need to shoot for it to explode and stagger the boss.
- When it exposes its back, unload your weapon on the cysts.
- Keep running to gain the high ground again for some more shots, but be sure to evade those webs.
- Once you reach the second red tank, repeat the same cycle by exposing its back and shooting at the cysts.
- If you didn’t manage to beat it with the two staggers, that’s where you’ll need grenades to create more similar opportunities.
At one point, Titan Spinner will collapse, playing a cutscene with the Hatchet finisher, as it drops into the Raccoon City subway.
