Like any good Sandbox, Pokemon Pokopia is all about crafting and building. To do that, you need materials. Wood is one of the most common materials, coming in various sizes and shapes.
Some, like Sturdy Sticks and Small Logs, are relatively easy to find, while others, like Lumber, take a bit more effort. Either way, we’ve broken down a simple way to get each item.
How To Get Lumber

The quickest way to find Lumber is by investigating the broken fences along the cliffs to the West of the starting area. The broken sections will often have piles of Lumber for you to collect.
Convert Logs To Lumber With Scyther

You can also get Lumber from Scyther. They’ll convert one Small Log into five Lumber for you.
Since Syther is needed to cut down trees, and log piles, you’ll likely have already unlocked them before needing lumber, but just in case:
Scyther can be found in a tree-shaded tall grass Habitat. This is done by placing 4 tall grass around any healthy tree. Once unlocked, follow through with their requests until they ask for logs. They’ll convert it into lumber and offer their service going forward.
How To Get Small Logs

Logs can be gathered by finding log piles around the world and attacking them with the Cut move. This will drop several Small Logs.
If you need to learn Cut still, unlock Scyther. Details on how to do that can be found in the Lumber section.
You can also get small logs by chopping down trees, barren or not. Doing so will drop some Small Logs, some Sturdy Sticks, and a seed to plant a new tree. This makes it the more sustainable method of log harvesting.
How To Get Sturdy Sticks

To be perfectly honest, we don’t think you need help with this part. Sturdy Sticks are found scattered across the entire landscape. Just go pick them up.
Additionally, they will respawn near healthy trees regularly.
If you’re in more immediate need of sticks, you can chop down trees for them. More details on that can be found in the Small Log section.
