Geryon, Watcher of the Skies, is the final boss of Layer 8-4: Final Flight, which is the climax level of the Fraud layer in ULTRAKILL. To access the fight, you need to navigate the manor’s corridors and collect Red and Blue Skull Keys.
Alternatively, you could skip the skulls via advanced moves like explosion boosts or slam storage through a hidden fan chute trapdoor for the “No Skulls” challenge. This guide will provide you with tips and tricks on how to beat Geryon, Watcher of the Skies boss.
Best Loadout and Strategy

Once you reach Layer 8-4, press the elevator’s up button to trigger the freefall into the boss arena, which is a bottomless pit amid the New Peace skyscrapers. Before the actual fight with Geryon, you’d have to fend off a couple of waves, consisting of Virtues and Providences that will provide you with the necessary resources.
Prioritize air-to-air weapons, such as Railcannon for burst, Nailgun for overheat storage, Rocket Launcher for long-range chipping, Shotgun for the final Core Eject. You can also bring Whiplash for overheat rushes and alternate it with a pistol for safe poking.
Try to clear Providences as fast as you can and note the orb spots. Start chipping Geryon at midrange, while dodging his attack. Spray some oil and ignite it for passive DPS. Whiplash in and rail his head, using nail barrage and shotgun or knuckleblaster combos. But be sure to back off before the recovery blast.
How to Dodge Geryon’s Attacks

Geryon rotates five types of attacks, which can be very dangerous if not parried or outright dodged. Also, make sure to avoid aggression outside the overheat. Here are the general tactics for all his attacks:
- Green Explosion: Once his chest starts glowing with green lightning, stay as far away as you can and dash away if suddenly you get caught.
- Blue Beams: Geryon squats and fires three consecutive outward beams that leave gaps. You can dash through those gaps and weave vertically.
- Orange Bombardment: When his head rises, his bow fires five randomized spinning skull markers upwards with fire beams going down, so look out for safe pockets between those markers.
- Pink Shockwaves: Geryon rubs his hands and claps, evoking three expanding waves that leave some gaps for vertical weaving.
- Providence Rush: Lastly, his arms extend, releasing orbs and rotating beams. Note that you can parry the orbs for heals, but beams aren’t dashable.
Once his overheat meter is full, Geryon exposes his heart. At that point, rush in with your Whiplash and combo for massive DPS. Repeat this several times to finally defeat him. When you exit the layer, your P-Rank unlocks the Fraud’s full lore and mastery.
