Much like real life, Crossbreeding in Heartopia requires players to take varying breeds of flowers, pair and water them daily until the seed icon pops atop either of the flowers you pair. Though you must be at Gardening Level 3 to unlock Blanc’s Crossbreeding Quest and to create hybrid flowers in general, you also require mature plants for cross-breeding to work.Â
Depending on your level, a plant would reach maturity in 1-4 days, provided you water it daily. For the complete Flower Crossbreeding Chart, read below.
How to Crossbreed in Heartopia?
Cross-breeding requires Gardening Level 3. If you’re a beginner, growing tomatoes can speed your progression. Once unlocked, there are two modes you can utilise to cross-breed the flowers you pick:Â
Duo: Place one set of varying flower-breed alongside each other (horizontally or vertically; both work.)Â
Quad: Place two sets of the same flower-breed diagonally to each other. For instance, in a cross between two White Pansies and two Red Pansies, the White Pansies would be diagonal to each other. The same applies to the Red Pansies.Â
Note: Crossbreeding will not always be successful! To guarantee your chances of creating a hybrid, purchase the Rainbow Breeding Powder from Blanc at Gardening Level 6.Â

Crossbreed works on the star system. The available combinations for a particular crossbreed depend on the parents’ star signs. The resultant can be of the same stars, or one star greater. If Red and Yellow had 1 and 2 stars respectively, the available combination of crossbreeds could vary anywhere from 1 to 3 stars.
