Comic books are a staple of society. Gaining massive fame in the 30s and 40s with Batman and Superman, they have only progressed in renown as the decades have passed. Originally seen as a product for children due to their art-based storytelling, this has been proven to be incorrect multiple times, with many comic books outside of the superhero genre, and even some beautifully mature inside it.
Every month new comics are released and series are continued, it’s often a gamble to see if these new series will end up being successful enough to continue. Sometimes, they do simply fall short, but often we find some magnificent gems, and not just in the classic superhero genre dominated by DC and Marvel.
March 2026 may indeed be heavy with Marvel Comics, but in this list you can expect to see some up-and-coming DC Comics as well as a couple of picks from indie publishers.
Moonstar
Releasing March 4th

“When an ancient, soul-sucking weapon is set loose, it’s up to Dani to track it down! But the weapon’s deadly wielder won’t make it easy for her. After recent tragedies, can Dani trust herself to save those closest to her? Or will her self-doubts lead to even more bloodshed?”
Written by Ashley Allen (known for Magik and the Blood Hunt event) and illustrated by Edoardo Audino (a new and exciting up-and-comer), we can expect Moonstar to be a thrilling journey for this iconic character.
This will officially be Dani Moonstar’s first-ever solo comic, so a very large number of fans are jumping at the bit to read it as soon as possible. However, this is a limited 5-issue series, but hopefully, if it receives the attention and acclaim it needs, then we’ll be getting a revival before you can even blink.
Iceman: Omega
Releasing March 4th

“THE INDOMITABLE ICEMAN! Bobby Drake is ready to reach his true Omega potential! From coming out to helping terraform the entire planet of Mars, Bobby’s had a big year, and it’s only up from here! You don’t want to miss this beloved four-part infinity comic, now for the first time in print!”
Written AND illustrated by Luciano Vecchio, an experienced and well-known creator who has worked on anything from the Avengers to Spider-Man, and many, many more iconic Marvel titles. You can already tell, just from Vecchio’s involvement, that this series is going to be a good one.
Iceman is known as one of the most iconic and powerful X-Men members to exist, having been there right from the beginning. He is also arguably the most iconic LGBTQ+ person in all of Marvel Comics, so it’s safe to say he’s seen his fair share of solo series. But the fans will never tire of seeing Bobby Drake on the covers of their new books, I know I most certainly will not.
Nectar
Releasing March 4th

“An island village off Salem, Massachusetts, is inundated by a strange species of butterflies that spread the Dancing Plague and have a very particular taste in nectar… human blood.”
Written by Jeremy Robinson, who may not have that much experience in writing comics, but he certainly makes up for it by being a New York Times bestselling author of seventy novels and novellas. Illustrated by both Annapaola (a prolific Marvel Comics artist) and Francesco Francini (a well-known Italian artist), it’s guaranteed that this book will be absolutely gorgeous.
The idea of using the Dancing Plague and combining it with something strange and unnatural is completely mindblowing. The horror/gothic element to it all, mixed with the beauty of butterflies, is set to be a visually stunning book. And with Jeremy Robinson as the writer, it’s basically guaranteed to be a fantastic read as well.
A Quiet Place: Storm Warning
Releasing March 11th

“The creatures came for the cities first. But in Pearl, Iowa — a tiny island town on the Mississippi — the mayor and townsfolk believe that’s someone else’s problem. Cut off from the chaos of the coasts, they think they can ride out the storm. But fire chief Lonnie Fry knows better. The creatures that hunt by sound are coming west, and unless the people of Pearl take drastic action, silence won’t save them — it’ll bury them.”
Phil Lester is both a writer and an artist who is truly iconic and renowned in the comic community. Prolific in DC and indie comics, he is also known as the co-creator of the beloved Green Arrow character Mia Dearden. And while artist Ryan Kelly may not have the same quantity, he still has the completely beautiful quality when it comes to his illustrations.
Our next indie pick, being a popular IP, definitely gives it a boost, but it’s for a very good reason. This will be the first comic series from A Quiet Place, and it’s sure not to let us down. With the movies being as successful as they were, it’s not surprising they ended up making a comic series for it all. And, we can all look forward to the continuation of this incredibly compelling story.
Alias: Red Band
Releasing March 11th

“THE RETURN OF JESSICA JONES! A series of grisly murders in Hell’s Kitchen pulls JESSICA JONES into a mystery more sinister than she could’ve ever imagined. As the wife of Mayor LUKE CAGE, she’ll have to tread carefully as she forms a dangerous alliance with TYPHOID MARY to track down the killer. But as she delves deeper into Hell’s Kitchen’s dark underbelly, the evidence she finds presents more questions than answers…”
Written by Sam Humphries, a truly versatile author with experience with DC, Marvel, and plenty of Indie comics as well. Illustrated by Geraldo Borges, who is also quite versatile, working between all three and showing off his skill in every manner.
In almost perfect timing with Daredevil: Born Again season 2 coming out on the 24th, Marvel has brought Jessica back for a new thrilling story. Alias is a highly renowned Marvel series, considered one of the best of 2004, so a continuation of that beloved series is something people are desperate for.
The Sentry
Releasing March 18th

“From creator Paul Jenkins comes a bold, high-stakes epic about MARVEL’S most dangerous hero — the SENTRY, a man with the power of a million exploding suns– and the dark entity born from his own psyche: the VOID. When the Void resurfaces, threatening to unravel reality itself, the Sentry must battle not only cosmic forces and criminal empires, but the monster within.
Guest-starring REED RICHARDS, SPIDER-MAN, and the KINGPIN in a tale of impossible choices and devastating consequences. Can the Sentry save everything when the cost might be everything he loves?”
Written by Paul Jenkins, the creator of The Sentry, this may be set to be the best comic in the whole month. And, illustrated by Christian Rosado, who, while he may not have that many comics under his belt, has still proven himself fantastically with the projects he has done.
The Sentry was put back in the spotlight recently due to the 2025 Marvel film, Thunderbolts*, in which he was an integral part of. Bob Reynolds has one of the best stories you can tell in Marvel, highly intriguing, compelling, and absolutely beautiful. It’s almost a guarantee that this comic will include mental health struggles, something to keep in mind before you buy.
Wonder Man
Releasing March 18th

“LIGHTS, CAMERA, SUPER-HERO ACTION!”
“SIMON WILLIAMS has had his ups and downs, from being manipulated into villainy by the Enchantress to being one of the brightest stars in the Avengers! But just like HOLLYWOOD, no matter how low the lows, Simon keeps fighting the good fight! But what happens when the past finally catches up to him? Enter Randolph Chancellor: Simon’s former cellmate!”
Written by Gerry Duggan, a mainstay of Marvel Comics, who was the writer of the main X-Men comics from 2021 to 2024. Illustrated by Mark Buckingham, another great mix of working with Marvel, DC, and indie publishers.
Marvel Studios recently premiered the Wonder Man show on January 27th; it was an absolute hit, thus causing him to surge in popularity. This may just end up being the comic series that brings a whole new surge of fans, yet still be highly enjoyable for the knowledgeable ones.
Lobo
Releasing March 18th

“VRRRRROOOOOOMMMMMMMM! The Main Man’s back, baby! And his ride is a motorcycle that moves at the speed of sound, but only if that sound is a rippin’ guitar solo, and you better hop on before he leaves you in the dust with all the bastiches he’s fragged for money or convenience! The Eisner-nominated creative team that brought you a fantastic parable of adolescence in the Midwest, the story of an artist who embraces darkness a little too closely, and the tale of a gunslinger with too much grit to stay buried brings you a classic yarn spun in the star-kissed threads of the cosmic DC Universe.
It’s a guts-soaked path from DC K.O. to the end of the universe, where Lobo is going to scratch his name and number in the Source Wall with a cool knife. Don’t miss the mayhem, special guests, or tasty, tasty continuity! Don’t you do it!”
Written by Skottie Young, a mostly Marvel creator, this may just be his first step into DC Comics. Illustrated by Jorge Corona, he can make up for it all with his experience in both fields. With stunning art and compelling writing, this is something not to miss.
Lobo is set to premiere in the DCU through the Supergirl movie coming out on June 26th. Lobo is a notoriously chaotic and violent anti-hero, made in the 80s as a parody of that time, yet he shot up in popularity. You can expect this to be an incredibly fun experience to read. Lobo never disappoints when it comes to entertainment.
Deathstroke: The Terminator
Releasing March 18th

“THE WORLD’S DEADLIEST ASSASSIN HITS THE NEXT LEVEL WITH TONY FLEECS AND CARMINE DI GIANDOMENICO!
Soldier-turned-superhuman assassin for hire Slade Wilson has made hundreds of enemies in his day, and now one of them is taking his world apart piece by piece. The hit is out on Deathstroke as he evolves into his purest form… a terminator out for revenge and ready to kill anyone who stands in his way.”
Written by Tony Fleecs, this renowned artist is taking his shot at writing one of the deadliest DC characters. Illustrated by Carmine Di Giandomenico, it is set to be absolutely visually stunning, with his current work in the ongoing Absolute DC series, which is wildly successful and considered some of the best work DC has put out in years.
Deathstroke is a complicated character to get right, but this premise and the author have me strongly believing this will be a fantastic take on him. Slade has more enemies than he can count due to his usually horrific actions, so who has taken the initiative to put a hit on him for once?
Batwoman
Releasing March 18th

“Batwoman. Daughter. Sister. Soldier. Hero.”
But since she was 10 years old, Kate Kane has lived in the shadow of a prophecy and the machinations of a religion devoted to the end of all things. How do you fight the devil when the devil is real? And how do you win?”
Written by Greg Rucka, the Wonder Woman-centric author is turning to another powerhouse heroine in DC. Greg is a prolific author who has even expanded to films, most notably The Old Guard and The Old Guard 2. Illustrated by DaNi (also known as Dani Strips), her unique style will instantly draw your attention, and her experience with DC Comics ensures that she’s confident with these characters.
Batwoman always has tense, intriguing, and powerful stories, with her character being as complex as she is. Rucka’s take on Kate will most likely dive into this darkness around her and create such a thrilling story that you’ll be holding your breath.
There are, of course, many more comics releasing in March 2026, but these are the ones we believe are the stand-outs for March 2026. Take your chance at reading something new and look out for next month’s list.
