Stuck at that locker in the Engineering Workshop in Poppy Playtime Chapter 5? You’re not alone. This is one of those moments where the game doesn’t hold your hand at all, and it’s easy to waste time just guessing random numbers. Here’s exactly what you need to do.

Before you ask, “Why can’t you just tell me the code?”, it’s important to know that the code is different for every player, so you’ll need to find your own combination.

That said, once you know where to look, this puzzle becomes very easy to solve.

How to Find Your Engineering Workshop Code

After plugging the battery into the wall socket, the next step is to enter the three-digit combination to open the locker. Here’s how to do it:

Step 1: Check the Whiteboard

Look across from the keypad for a whiteboard. Flip it over, then use your blacklight to reveal the hidden message.

You’ll see a two-digit number and two letters. Focus on the letters and find the shelf labeled with the same letters. For example, mine was “TF”, so I went to the shelf marked with the TF sticker.

Step 2: Head Downstairs and Find the Right Package

Once you know which shelf to check, head there and inspect the pink boxes on that shelf. Each box has a visible number, but what you’re looking for is a hidden number that can only be seen with your blacklight.

Use the blacklight to find the box that matches the two-digit number from the whiteboard. In my case, it was “93.” When you find the correct box, look for the three-digit number on it. For me, the combination was “747.”

Make sure to remember your own unique code, as it will be different for each playthrough.

Step 3: Enter the Three-Digit Code

Remember your code and head back upstairs to the panel room. Use the three-digit combination to open the locker next to it.

Opening it gets you some important documents and a brand new hand power that lets you grapple onto magnetic surfaces. Just like the Pressure Hand, this hand is essential for moving forward in Chapter 5, so you can’t really skip it.
