YapYap is a recently launched game that you can enjoy with your friends. The enjoyment, however, might turn into despair if you don’t know how to fight some of the creatures that dwell in the tower. Lucky for you, we have prepared this guide to help you deal with every monster that YapYap throws at you.

Chicken Creature

These bird-like monstrocities are more to hinder your actions than to deal damage, as they simply turn you and your friends into one of them. They have chicken legs and appear in groups; the best way to deal with them is either to avoid them or to speak the incantation that appears above their heads.

One interesting thing you can do with these creatures in YapYap is let them do their thing and use your time as a chicken creature to roam around without aggroing other monsters.

Red Chair

While it appears to be harmless at first, approaching the Red Chair will allow it to come to life. Don’t let its appearance deceive you, however, since it can deal around 30 damage per hit, which is quite a bit.

Players can either run away from them or destroy them using Fire or Candle, which are the most effective against these foes.

Skull Spider

One of the more dangerous enemies in the game, these large and horrifying arachnids have been the death of many wizards. Their threat level is on par with Mimics, and the best way to deal with them is to flee as fast as you can.

You can use spells like Teleblast to create openings or to hinder its movement, but don’t let it get to your head. Use that precious time to escape.

Mimic

As the name suggests, Mimic is a smart opponent that disguises itself as an inanimate object while it waits for the next victim. If you spot it first before it aggroes on you, run away. You can create an opening by using the Wand of Telekenesis to flee.

They have been known to take the form of jugs or skulls, but can also be other environmental props. If you do engage with them, be ready to lose 40-50 health per hit. This is a fast and tanky creature and can only be killed if you gang up on it with your friends, but don’t get too cocky.

Doppelganger

Similar to the Mimic, Doppelgangers are dangerous and can imitate. However, this time it will be in the form of other players, causing confusion and panic within the team. They are not as much of a threat alone since you can simply use an attack spell, causing it to flee.

The problem comes when there is another enemy with it. Their attacks drain your health and inflict the Silence debuff, preventing you from using spells and leaving you helpless against others.

The Time Ghost

The Time Ghost is unbeatable and appears only when the timer runs out, causing your run to end. It appears as a floating ghost and instantly kills everyone on the map.

There is no counter to this enemy. If you see it, start planning your next run. The only way to not see this entity in your playthrough is to escape the tower successfully.

The Slime

These might remind you of your Minecraft days, and they are similar in some ways. The Slime is a massive jelly-like cube that traps the player by obstructing their way. If you find it alone, cast your Piss-Yuk spell on it to make it explode.

If they are accompanied by other, more dangerous monsters, look at your surroundings to figure out ways to counter the other mob first. Underestimating them in these situations is one of the gravest mistakes you could make in YapYap.

The Eye

This floating eye appears randomly throughout the tower and fires constant laser beams to drain your health. You can deal with it, although only temporarily, by attacking it with any spell. That should make it disappear and reappear in a different location.

If the environment supports it, you should break the line of sight to stop its attack and avoid it until it disappears on its own. The Eye is another enemy in YapYap that becomes a massive threat when paired with another mob.

The Jester

Perhaps the most terrifying entity in YapYap, the Jester is one of the monsters you do not want to see or hear in your runs. It greets the player with creepy laughter and moves at an extremely fast pace. It does not engage in combat for long, as it simply kills you in an instant.

If you encounter it, run away as fast as you can and use spells only if they aid in your escape. However, if you find yourself cornered, pray that your friends complete the objective while you distract the Jester and keep it occupied for as long as possible.

Guards/Knights

The Guard or Knight, whatever you may call it, comes equipped with a big sword and helmet, which is its weakness. They can jot down your health to half in one big swing, but they are slower and more linear than other monsters, making it somewhat easier to fight.

Keep hitting its helmet to disorient the creature and follow up with a Fire attack for the best result. Alternatively, you can also use that window to escape if you are already running low on health.

Headless Guard

It’s exactly like the Guard but without the head. So where is the weak point? That’s the neat part, there’s none. It is much faster and can deal a ton of damage. You can either avoid them entirely or use a cheese strategy.

Using the Shrink Ana or Fish-Yuk will allow you to pick it up and Aero it off the map, but that is only possible if you have those with you.

Goblins

One of the more common monsters that you will find scattered across the map. Goblins deal a small amount of damage, but in later stages, they appear in groups and can chip away at your health faster.

If you are quick enough, you can even throw one of their bombs at them, dealing a lot of damage. Use Piss-Yuk and any other attack spell to decrease their numbers fast.

Gargoyles

It might appear like a building decoration at first, but the Gargoyle will grab you and lift you high into the air. It will either place you in a higher spot on the map or simply throw you off the side.

It is best not to take any chances and avoid them entirely. You can either run back inside, as they are very fast and hard to outrun. The only offensive strategy here is using the Fish-Yuk.

The Prisoner

Last but not least, we have The Prisoner. It will scream and rush at you, dealing quite a bit of damage. You can run away, as the monster usually leaves you alone once you are out of its line of sight.

If you wish to defeat it, the Wand of Winds will be your best friend as it can knock The Prisoner away, set it on fire, or be used to throw it off the map.

YapYap is full of bizarre monsters, and while there are strategies to defeat some of them, others you have to simply avoid at all costs. And always remember, when in a pickle, use the Fish-Yuk as it works against several of these monsters.
