Everyone is excited for Daredevil: Born Again to premiere its second season on March 24th, but that also brings up a question. What do you need to watch before this new season releases?
Marvel is notorious for linking its stories to each other, having characters cross into every possible show or movie. Daredevil himself has certainly done this many times, having appeared in a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
This list will include absolutely everything you need to watch before Daredevil: Born Again comes back with a bang.
Daredevil
If you haven’t seen this before starting Born Again, then you have missed out on a truly amazing experience. This show is a classic and fan-favourite for good reason, following the deep story of Matt Murdock and who he truly is.
The show is compelling in every way, and Charlie Cox is an absolutely phenomenal lead actor. He brought this character to life in a way that’s never been done before.

The Defenders
It’s understandable if you’ve never even heard of this show, seeing how it was much less successful than the other Marvel Netflix shows at the time. However, I would recommend watching this before Born Again season two for at least one reason.
While we may not know what exactly is carrying over to the MCU from the Netflix shows, we have seen Jessica Jones in the trailer and teasers. Now, in The Defenders, this was Matt and Jessica’s first meeting and first time working as a team.

Jessica Jones
This was the second most popular Marvel Netflix show when it was airing, and was applauded for its fantastic cast and how it handles some very serious topics.
It was revealed in the trailer and through rumours previously that Jessica Jones would be making her MCU debut through Born Again season two. And it is highly recommended to learn her story and character before this season comes out. Trust me, you’ll enjoy the nuances so much more.

Hawkeye & Echo
I’m combining both of these shows into one due to Wilson Fisk (Kingpin) not exactly playing a very major role in either. But these shows include some pivotal moments for Kingpin in the MCU.
If you want to better understand this character and learn some details that will most likely get brought up this season, then these shows are a must-watch. It helps that Daredevil also makes an appearance in Echo.

The Punisher
It is still unknown whether Frank Castle (The Punisher) will play a big role in Born Again season two, but he is confirmed to be appearing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day and his own special Marvel presentation.
Even if it turns out Frank is only in the first episode of this new season, this show is still important due to Karen Page’s appearances in it. Karen is the only Daredevil character to cross over into this show, and she fits into it perfectly. Watch this show if you want to better understand these two significant characters.
