Ember Lab kicked off the February 12th State of Play showcase with an announcement of Kena: Scars of Kosmora, a sequel to 2021’s Kena: Bridge of Spirits.

Here is everything we know so far.

Impressive Visuals

The studio is going above and beyond with Kena: Scars of Kosmora. It is a direct sequel to the first game, with a more mature protagonist helping a new region: the titular Kosmora.

Kena’s sequel promises to improve on everything the first game did with the support of Sony. And such support is immediately noticeable in the impressive visuals showcased in the trailer.

Kena: Scars of Kosmora is rivaling the likes of the Horizon series with a mix of a striking art style paired with top notch visual fidelity.

Impressively, Ember Lab are releasing this one sometime during 2026 on both Playstation and PC, a simultaneous release on both platforms. A more concrete release date and more details will likely be revealed soon.

Beyond the impressive graphics, Kena: Scars of Kosmora promises a bigger world to explore, more ambitious boss fights, the classic “bigger and better” approach that has been made possible by the success that the first game had.

We’re excited to see what Ember Lab has for us in the coming months.
