Squirrel Girl, Rocket Raccoon & Jeff the Land Shark Are Getting Cute New Animal Skins in Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals Season 6.5 is just around the corner, with a sneak peek of what’s to come beginning to circulate online. From the new hero arrival of Elsa Bloodstone, to big buffs for characters such as Adam Warlock, and even new events and skins to enjoy, there are some fun and interesting things to look forward to.

Specifically, the upcoming event, ‘Citizenship of Monster Kingdom’, has offered a sneak peek of some new animal-themed skins arriving for Jeff the Land Shark, Squirrel Girl, and Rocket Raccoon. Let’s take a look at everything we know about these skins and the event, so far.

A first sneak peek at some of the upcoming skins for the Citizenship of Monster Kingdom event in Marvel Rivals has been revealed. Fans can catch a glimpse at adorably cute and cuddly upcoming skin designs for Rocket Raccoon, Jeff the Land Shark, and Squirrel Girl. Essentially, it appears that the animal-themed characters of Marvel Rivals are getting skins themed around…well, other animals!

The Citizenship of Monster Kingdom event will be available from February 13, UTC. This means that the event will be launching alongside the arrival of Marvel Rivals Season 6.5, with the update occurring this Friday.

In terms of how the event will actually function, it is very likely that this will follow the same formula as recent events such as Luna Snow’s Disco Revolution and the Whack-a-Jeff event.

This means that players can expect there to be an event pass or event items to work their way through, unlocking by completing specific challenges to earn XP or items needed to unlock each tier (such as the Chimichangas for Whack-a-Jeff). There will also almost certainly be a Premium pass/tier that players can choose to upgrade to in order to gain all rewards in the event.

This information is based on the fact that some skins have been listed as Premium. For the three that have been revealed so far, here’s what is known about their availability:

  • Duck Defender Jeff the Land Shark – Premium
  • Giant Panda Rocket Raccoon – Premium
  • Red Panda Squirrel Girl – Free

Of course, there will very likely be other rewards other than the skins available during the Citizenship of Monster Kingdom. This includes the likes of sprays, emotes, emojis, MVP/highlight intros, and more.
