Although Hytale is only available in Early Access, there are already dozens, if not hundreds, of mods available to add to your worlds. Whether they fix quality-of-life issues or simply add more customization, there are a lot of great options to choose from.

Overstacked – DarkhaxDev

If you’re running out of space due to how many items can go into one stack, you may find the Overstacked mod by ‘DarkhaxDev’ to be quite helpful. This mod increases the max stack size of many common Hytale items.

The smallest stack that was improved is ore, which went from 25 to 50. Items like Wood, Rubble, and even Fibre can now stack up to 250 instead of 100. This mod also offers players a config system that allows them to modify stack sizes themselves, so you can make each stack hold even more!

Perfect Parries – narwhals

The combat system in Hytale is quite limiting, so what better way to improve fights with the Perfect Parries mod by ‘narhwhals’? This mod adds the ability to perfect parry enemy attacks, similar to how Soul-like combat works.

Your reward for parrying perfectly is stunning your enemy, giving you a window to launch some extra attacks on them. It’s a simple counter-attack mod, but it can easily improve combat and make it more enjoyable.

BetterMap – Paralaxe

While Hytale’s map can be helpful, it lacks many features, such as adding multiple waypoints. This is why you should try out the BetterMap mod by ‘Paralaxe,’ which enhances your map by adding waypoints, shared mapping, a customizable zoom, and more.

The waypoint system allows you to add multiple markers that other players can view, the ability to teleport to waypoints, linked exploration (all players share the same map), and even a compass radar to easily locate nearby players. Once you download it, it’ll be hard to go back to the normal map.

Violet’s Furnishings – VioletsWorkshop

This mod is one of many by ‘VioletsWorkshop’ that enhance the customization and decoration aspects of Hytale. The Violet’s Furnishings mod gives players unique furniture and decor with a variety of colors and styles.

Apart from the interactor decor, statues, and light fixtures, you can also customize the colors of many furniture items. This mod will make your home base a lot more personal, with many more fun furniture options to play with.

Violet’s Wardrobe – VioletsWorkshop

Another great mod by VioletsWorkshop is Violet’s Wardrobe, and as you can guess, it adds plenty of new cosmetic items for your avatar to wear. These come in the form of craftable armor, such as adorable headwear, unique wings, and a variety of clothes.

The good news is that the modder announced they’re now working with the Hytale team to add cosmetics officially. So, although the mod won’t be updated, it’s good to know this creator will be working on the official game!

Wayback Charm – DarkhaxDev

‘DarkhaxDev’ is back on this list with another helpful mod, which is the Wayback Charm mod. If you’re someone who hates travelling far, knowing you have to walk all the way back home, this mod fixes that issue.

You can craft a Wayback Charm using easy-to-find resources and it allows you to teleport back home. Pressing the F key while holding the charm teleports you to the nearest respawn point, so you don’t have to make the trek back home.

RPG Leveling – Zuxaw_dev

The RPG Leveling mod by ‘Zuxaw_dev’ makes Hytale a true RPG with XP leveling, difficulty scaling, and stat progression. Although there are many RPG elements already in Hytale, it’s missing these detailed customization elements that make leveling up exciting.

Upon leveling up, you can spend stat points in specific areas such as damage, defense, mana, and more. This can make unique builds at higher levels, and on top of that, this mod creates 6 different zones with monsters at different difficulty levels.

Simply Trash – Jaredlll08

One of the most annoying quality-of-life issues in Hytale is not being able to delete or throw out unwanted items. The Simply Trash mod by ‘Jaredlll08’ fixes this issue by giving you a trash can.

It’s as simple as that. You can craft a Trash Can item that, when interacted with, gives you a large space to drop items. As soon as you leave the window, the items are destroyed.

Wan’s Wonder Weapons – WanMine

If you’re looking for more interesting and magical weapons to wield in Hytale, you should try the Wan’s Wonder Weapons mod by ‘WanMine’. This mod adds a collection of unique weapons, some with elemental powers and others that just look cool.

The array of weapons available in this mod makes combat a lot more interesting. These relics also follow the current highest-tier crafting balance in the game, which is mithril, but they also require Onyxium to craft.

Simple Bags – NoCube

The last great mod on this list gives you some extra storage space that you can take on the go. The Simple Bags mod by ‘NoCube’ gives you just that! Bags that have extra space for your items.
