In Code Vein 2, having a main weapon is only part of your whole gear spread. You also have offensive and defensive extras that round out what you can do, as well as give you an extra edge in battle. One such offensive addition is the Bloodreaver Blade, and it’s among the best.

Where is the Bloodreaver Blade in Code Vein 2

The good news is that this isn’t something you actively need to hunt out, and it becomes available somewhat early in the story.

To unlock the Bloodreaver Blade for purchase, you’ll need to complete the first bit of the story and defeat Josee the Blind Hero. This isn’t missable, and though you can tackle the three heroes in any order, Josee will likely be your first stop.

So, once she is defeated, head back to the present MagMell and go into the weapons shop. You’ll find it near the bottom, along with the Bequeathed Formae for defeating Holly, which is in the form of her Gatling guns.

At only 8,000 Haze, it might not be completely cheap at this point in the game, but it shouldn’t take much farming to afford. Plus, if you haven’t been levelling up any other Bequeathed Formae (like the Stateman’s Longbow from the Ruins), then you might have the first upgrade item to level it up once.

Depending on your Blood Code, the Bloodreaver Blade might not seem very necessary, as each use costs four Ichor, which is something you won’t have a large surplus of for a while, and Combat Formae already cost a decent amount.

Level directly scales Bequeathed Formae damage, so with me at level 116 with a Rank-A Blood Code, the blade is double that of a fully leveled Ame-no-Habakiri, so that should tell you this packs a punch. I wouldn’t be surprised if it reaches around 2,500-3,000 damage total when fully leveled up. It’s definitely worth the 8,000 Haze.
