Heartopia allows many different hobbies for players to learn in their free time when they aren’t farming, building, or hanging out with their friends. Something that will add a bit more coziness to your home is having some pets.
This guide will dive into everything you need to know about adopting cats and dogs within Heartopia, including the many different things that will be required from you to take care of them.
How To Adopt A Cat In Heartopia
Sadly, players won’t be able to adopt cats in the first part of their gameplay. They will be required to learn all five core hobbies first, causing the process to take a couple of days for you to level up enough to achieve them all, which will require players to have D.G. Member Level 12.
The fastest way to accomplish leveling up is by completing daily tasks, any quests that come up, and also practicing any hobbies we already have. After possessing the five core hobbies, which are fishing, bug catching, birdwatching, cooking, and gardening, players will be able to go and visit Mrs. Joan. She will be the one to teach Dog Caring and Cat Caring.
Giving her a Hobby Expansion Ticket will allow her to start teaching you Cat Caring. Mrs. Loan will walk you through a short tutorial about caring for your cats, and then you can explore the pet shop to find the cat you desire most based on looks and personality traits. Do note, if there isn’t a cat you want, you can keep coming back every day for a new selection of cats. After naming your cat, it will be sent back to your plot.
You can either choose to head back to your plot and meet your new cat, or you can stay at Mrs. Loan’s shop and follow the steps below to adopt your first dog as well.
How To Adopt Your First Dog In Heartopia
When it comes to adopting a dog, it is quite easy and similar to adopting your first cat. You will need to talk to Mrs. Loan and hand her another Hobby Expansion Ticket. Upon doing so, you can learn Dog Caring / Dog Training, for which she will provide a short tutorial.
Now, a lot like adopting your cat, you can go around the Pet Store and select a dog you like, or come back again the next day. After adoption, it will be waiting for you at your mailbox on your plot, where you can go and pet it. Mrs. Loan will then call you on the phone and begin explaining to you how to start training your dog and complete learning your new hobby.
