Depends on which quest you take first in Code Vein 2 after you reach MagMell, the Resurgence Abomination might well be your first boss. If that’s the case, you’re likely in for a harder fight than you might expect. Still, the Resurgence Abomination isn’t unbeatable, and we’ll help you get through it.

Though, based on my own experiences, you might be better off heading to the Ruins for the Mechanic’s Request just to get some additional experience with the game.

Where to Find Resurgence Abomination Boss Fight

You’ll find this boss as part of the Builder’s Request quest, as you’ll need to talk to him outside of the Water Treatment Plant to even be allowed inside.

As with both early bosses, the path to them is quite linear, and as long as you aren’t jumping down to explore other parts of the area, the only path will lead you to the Resurgence Abomination at the back of the Water Treatment Plant.

Resurgence Abomination Boss Fight Strategy

If you’ve been opening all the chests in your way on the linear path to MagMell, you’ve definitely obtained the Bleeding Shield (Light) Defensive Forma. This is absolutely necessary to winning this fight, and it’s nearly impossible that you missed it. I call it necessary because it blocks all damage received.

I was level 12 when I took on this boss, and the stamina cost of the shield was never all that bad. There is typically plenty of time around any attacks to drop the shield and regain full strength.

Resurgence Abomination is a very speed-focused boss who has one attack to cross the fight area if it targets you and you’re keeping your distance. There’s not a lot of tell to this one, and the timing is very tight to roll out of the way, which is where the shield comes in to take the full brunt.

You don’t want to get greedy with this boss, as it hits far too hard. Your best chance overall is to only attack when your partner is the one targeted, as the boss will turn its back on you. Fortunately, my partner got the memo as well and would attack the boss when I was targeted.

The only times to be especially careful are when you see its weapon glow red, as it will either dish out an AoE (area of effect) blast or send a projectile at you. I never got caught in the former, but the projectile is also easy to block.

As long as you don’t try to go toe to toe with the boss, you shouldn’t have any issues. I made that mistake early on and still won with a little under half my health and no heal usages.

For winning the fight, I received 2,500 Haze and the Object Strength Enhancing Forma to give to the Builder and complete his request.
That’s yet another boss down, so stick with us, and we will help you anywhere you might need with any future fights you find.
