In Heartopia, the Winter Frost Season Prep event has arrived, kicking off on January 24, 2026. The event is set to run for seven days, offering two phases with limited-time objectives and challenges. Players can complete these objectives to earn special winter-themed items, and enjoy other new features tied to the event.

Heartopia’s Winter Frost Season Prep Event, Explained
The Winter Frost Season Prep phase will be available in Heartopia from January 24 until January 31, server time. As advertised on Heartopia’s socials, this event is winter-themed and will focus on helping local creatures survive the cold. It features all kinds of chilly items, such as clothing and items with adorable little penguin designs.
Heartopia Winter Frost Season Prep Rewards
The items that you can earn are broken up into phases, with you completing in-game quests to unlock each one.
- Phase 1 rewards: Cold Weather Warning to earn rewards, including Night-Fishing Moka Pot and Penguin Pet Sofa.
- Phase 2 rewards: Resident Feedback Collection to get furniture such as Silent Egg Grabbing Machine.

Throughout and following the Winter Frost Season Prep, additional new mini events and in-game features will begin to pop up in-game. A complete summary of the most notable features have been outlined below.
Frame the Winter Event
Players can also participate in a mini opportunity within this event, titled ‘Frame the Winter’. From January 24, 2026 Until March 14, 2026, players who complete a face-to-face interaction with a friend in-game for seven days can earn a unique 2-person action. Each person involved will need to complete their own seven-day requirements, though.
Daily Egg Hunt
Each day that you log in, you will be able to locate a new colored egg that spawns in around the server. Each one will be a different color from the last, with sixteen to collect in total. Like previous in-game collectibles, it is very likely that these eggs will be available in the same location for all players in the server, letting players work together to track them down.
Frostspore Infection
Frostspore Infection is affecting the local wildlife around Heartopia. Players can converse with the NPCS related to wildlife Hobbies (such as Vanya for fishing) to unlock a few rewards. However, the Frostspore Infection itself has an affect on creatures, creating new event variants that appear to have a frosty, crystal-like shine/texture to them.
By continuing to capture affected creatures, you can earn milestone rewards.
Frostbite Skin
Players can also unlock a new frostbitten skin for their character. To get this skin, they can simply spend some time roaming around the winter world in summer clothing or a lack of warm layers. Their skin will eventually turn a frosty blue
Ice Skating Hobby
In addition to this, it appears that Heartopia players may soon have a new hobby to enjoy in the form of Ice Skating. This activity had been teased within the ‘Hobbies’ app in player watches, with what looks like a new Ice Skating rink location being set up in town.
To get involved with Ice Skating, players will need to head to Onson Mountain Park and speak to the NPC called Eric. By doing so, they will be able to assist in the construction of the park. After completing all tasks, the Ice Skating Rink will unlock, and you will also gain access to a new set of in-game egg unlockables similar to the likes of Kinder eggs.
It seems that this new Hobby will become permanently available after the Winter Season Prep event, even with the opportunity to add Ice Skating Rinks to your own home.
Snowmen
Players will have the opportunity to shovel snow and turn themselves into a snowman! You can jump inside of your snowman and even wander around town in snowman form with hilarious little jumps and wobbles.
