Pokemon GO’s High Zaptitude event has arrived, officially kicking off on January 13, 2026, at 10 AM local time. The event, which runs until January 18, 2026, at 8 PM local time, features themes around Electric Types – including the Pokemon GO debut for both Wattrel and Kilowattrel, which are available to players for the first time. In addition to this, there are also a series of Research Tasks that can be completed to earn additional reward items and encounters.

Pokemon GO’s High Zaptitude event only has a small handful of Field Research Tasks, all of which are fairly easy to complete. One of them, though, is tied to the Global Challenge rewards, which are collaborative objectives that can be completed by Trainers around the world pitching in during the event.
