ARC Raiders keeps quietly stacking wins. As of early 2026, the extraction shooter has crossed 12 million copies sold, and Embark Studios is celebrating the milestone by giving players a free in-game cosmetic.
The game had a strong run throughout 2025 and shows no signs of slowing down. Its player base has remained active, with over one million players completing their first Expedition Project, a sign that people are not just trying the game, but sticking with it.
To mark the latest sales milestone, Embark is handing out a small thank-you gift to everyone who has jumped into the Rust Belt.
Arc Raiders Has Sold Over 12 Million Copies So Far

Embark Studios confirmed the milestone through the official ARC Raiders X account, sharing that more than 10 million Raiders have made the journey from Speranza to raid the Rust Belt. While the announcement leaned into the game’s lore, the number itself lines up with recent sales estimates that placed ARC Raiders above 12 million units sold across Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Those estimates also suggested the game has generated roughly $350 million in revenue so far, alongside a daily active user count of around 3.2 million. For a newer IP in the extraction shooter space, those figures put ARC Raiders well ahead of where many similar titles end up.
How to Get the Free Pickaxe

To celebrate the milestone, Embark is giving out a Gilded Pickaxe Raider Tool. Any player who has logged into ARC Raiders at least once since launch will receive the item, as long as they do so before January 13 at 23:59 CET.
The pickaxe will be granted automatically once the latest update goes live. Once you update the game and launch it, you will receive a message from Embark directly in-game, so head to your inbox and claim the free item.
There are no challenges to complete and no purchases required. If you have played ARC Raiders at any point since release, the pickaxe should be waiting for you after the update.
Why This Milestone Matters for Arc Raiders

Crossing 12 million copies sold reinforces ARC Raiders’ place in a genre that is often hard on new franchises. The steady growth suggests the game has found a long-term audience rather than relying on launch hype alone.
The decision to hand out a free cosmetic instead of pushing a paid item also reflects Embark’s approach so far, rewarding existing players while keeping the focus on retention. For players, the Gilded Pickaxe is a nice bonus. For the game, the milestone points to a future with continued support and momentum heading further into 2026.
