Cartman and his friends finally arrived in Fortnite as part of the Fortnite x South Park collab for Chapter 7 Season 1. Alongside the new skins, cosmetics, and mini battlepass, Epic Games added one of the show’s infamous items to the island as a Mythic item: the Stick of Truth.
The crossover trailer made it look like the Mythic would be tied to the new Cartmanland POI (formerly Wonkeeland), and most players assumed it would spawn there every match. That turned out not to be the case.
Instead of having a fixed location, the Stick of Truth behaves more like Fortnite’s roaming bosses or special event loot. Its appearance is random, and in some matches, it may not show up at all.
How to Get the Stick of Truth in Fortnite

The Stick of Truth is only available in the Unranked Battle Royale mode, and does not spawn at the start of a match. So, you shouldn’t land anywhere expecting to find it waiting for you.
When the Stick of Truth is available in a match, the game makes it very clear. A Rift Anomaly notification appears, alerting everyone that the Mythic is ready to be claimed.
Once confirmed, open your map, and the Stick of Truth’s location will be visible to all players and appears as a small dot icon with a stick in the center. The icon is easy to overlook if you don’t know what you’re searching for, so zoom in carefully.
The Stick of Truth emerges from a rift, meaning every player has an equal opportunity to reach it first. Once someone picks it up, the game sends another notification letting everyone know it’s no longer available. That’s usually your cue to pay attention to the storm and nearby fights, because one player now has a serious advantage.
What Does the Stick of Truth Do

The Stick of Truth Mythic has a single-use ability that lets players manipulate the storm by choosing where the final circle will close. Basically, wherever you’re standing when you activate the Mythic is where the last safe zone will push in.
This means you can determine where the endgame takes place, forcing enemy teams to rotate toward you while your squad holds the advantage.
Because the ability can only be used once, timing is everything. Use it too early, and opponents may have time to reposition. Save it for later, and you can pull the final zone onto high ground, solid cover, or a fortified setup.
Only one Stick of Truth spawns per match, which makes it one of the most powerful tools currently available. If you don’t manage to claim it yourself, eliminating the player who has it becomes a priority, since whoever controls the final storm location controls the flow of the endgame.
