Exploring Arcadia-7 in StarRupture can be dangerous due to the pesky Vermins, which is why upgrading your weapons with mods is important. These upgrades make your guns stronger, easier to handle, and more effective overall, allowing you to tailor them to your playstyle. In this guide, you’ll find everything you need to know about weapon mods in StarRupture.

How to Unlock Weapon Mods in StarRupture

To start modding your weapons, you’ll first need to unlock the Equipment Upgrade Station. This weapon-focused machine becomes available once you reach Level 4 trust with the Griffits Blue Corporation.

After delivering the required materials, such as Titanium Sheets or Wolfram Plates to raise your trust level to 4, head to the Corporate Terminal and claim your reward: the Equipment Upgrade Station.

How to Use the Equipment Upgrade Station

Once you’ve built the station, you’ll see two tabs. The first is the Loadout tab, where you can switch between your weapons. The second tab allows you to unlock new weapons by spending War Bonds.

Below the Loadout tab, you’ll find the mods you can attach to your current weapon. Selecting a mod will show additional mod options that can be unlocked, again, using War Bonds.

Keep in mind that every time you switch or modify a weapon, you’ll need to spend a small amount of Basic Crafting Materials. The cost is minimal, so it shouldn’t be an issue.

Getting War Bonds

Unlocking and upgrading weapon mods requires War Bonds. You can get them by increasing your reputation with the Griffits Blue Corporation, opening loot boxes, or looting dead bodies. There are no other ways to earn War Bonds, so make sure to take advantage of every opportunity.

Start by using the free mods available for each weapon, then save your War Bonds for upgrades that best suit your playstyle. Extended magazines and improved barrels usually provide the biggest combat advantage, especially when dealing with waves of Vermins.
