There’s no debating Netflix’s position as the titan of the streaming industry. With over 18,000 titles (varies by country), the sheer thought of scrolling through the platform’s endless catalog of films and television shows is enough to fill anyone with dread. Toss in a whopping 160 releases this year alone, and it’s time to start panicking. Well, maybe not. Relax and take a deep breath because, lucky for you, I’ve distilled their massive library into the 10 biggest movie and TV releases coming to Netflix in 2026.

10. People We Meet on Vacation – January 9

Kicking off the new movies section of the list is a book adaptation. Those always do well, don’t they? Emily Henry’s 2021 novel People We Meet on Vacation is finally put to screen. Tom Blyth (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes) and Emily Bader (My Lady Jane) star in this rom-com about a pair of lifelong friends whose vacation pact stirs up feelings neither one of them bargained for.

9. The Rip – January 16

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck play a pair of hardened Miami officers who uncover millions in cash. Far from a routine seizure operation and not for the faint of heart, The Rip can be best described as a trust exercise on steroids. Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead, Invincible, Nope) and Teyana Taylor (One Battle After Another, A Thousand and One) also star.

8. Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man – March 20

Oscar winner Cillian Murphy reprises his role as beloved gangster Thomas Shelby. Rattled and worn out from a life of politics and racketeering, Shelby reluctantly returns to his home turf of Birmingham as a mere shell of his former self. There he must muster the courage to root out the rot World War II has imparted on his family and his country.

7. Heartstopper Forever – TBA

The conclusion of the wholesome coming-of-age series about first loves, Heartstopper, comes in the form of a feature-length film entitled Heartstopper Forever. It’s time for fans to say goodbye to Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie (Joe Locke) in a sendoff that’s sure to tug on your heartstrings.

6. Enola Holmes 3 – TBA

Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things) and Louis Partridge (House of Guinness) are back for the third installment in the thrilling mystery saga centering on Sherlock Holmes’ younger sister. This time around, the sharp-witted Enola Holmes’s stellar sleuthing skills take her to the island of Malta.

5. His & Hers – January 8

Tessa Thompson (Hedda, Westworld) and Jon Bernthal (The Bear, The Punisher) lead the limited series adaptation of Alice Feeney’s critically acclaimed novel His & Hers. The crime thriller follows an estranged couple, Anna and Jack, entangled in a web of betrayal and deceit as they both try to uncover the truth behind a grisly murder.

4. Bridgerton Season 4 – January 29

Bridgerton brother Benedict (Luke Thompson) gets his turn in the spotlight for the fourth season of Shonda Rhimes’ Regency-era romance. Every bit of promotional material for this season tells us that Bridgerton Season 4 is shaping up to be a Cinderella-esque love story. It’s a tale as old as time, but it’s never been told quite like this. When it comes to betting, I like to play it safe, so my money is on a story filled with juicy gossip, steamy romance, and about a dozen or so orchestral Top 40 hits covers.

3. One Piece Season 2 – March 10

Live-action adaptations are dominating the television landscape. Based on the anime, which itself is based on the manga (yes, it’s a Russian nesting doll of adaptations), One Piece sails into a second season titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line. This season promises to be bigger and better. Tune in to see if the Straw Hats are up for the challenge.

2. Beef Season 2 – April 16

More than just a heated rivalry—no, not that Heated Rivalry. Beef is a poignant and equally hilarious meditation on existentialism. The latest season of the anthology series boasts a brand-new story and a new cast to tell it. Will Beef Season 2 be able to replicate the magic of the first season? There’s only one way to find out. Oscar Isaac (Frankenstein, Dune), Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman,Maestro, Saltburn) Charles Melton (Riverdale, May December) Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla, Alien: Romulus) and Youn Yuh-jung (Minari) round out the second season’s cast.

1. Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 – TBA

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender is the second live-action adaptation (we don’t talk about the first) of the groundbreaking Nickelodeon cartoon. The remake’s first season amassed a whopping 71.1 million views when it debuted. So despite how infamous Netflix is for its cancellations, with numbers like that, a second season was nothing short of a guarantee. Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 will chronicle the young air nomad’s journey mastering earthbending under the tutelage of the smartmouth Toph.

Now that you know what’s what when it comes to Netflix’s newest movies and shows you can spend more time watching and less time scrolling.
