How to Get Klawf in Pokemon GO
In Pokemon GO, Klawf is making its in-game debut at the beginning of the Pinch Perfect event. During this time, it will be available for Trainers to catch, making it the perfect opportunity to acquire the new monster.
Pokemon GO’s Pinch Perfect event begins on January 6, 2026, at 10 AM local time and will conclude on January 11, 2026, at 8 PM local time. During the Pinch Perfect event, Klawf will be available to acquire through a couple of different methods. The first way players can obtain Klawf is as a Field Research Task reward.
The second way that Klawf can be obtained is through special event-exclusive Timed Research. Between January 6 and January 8, this Timed Research will enable players to earn encounters with both Klawf and Dwebble. From January 8 to January 10, players can earn encounters with both Klawf and Corphish. Then, from January 10 to January 11, players can earn encounters with Klawf and Clauncher.
Lastly, there is additional Paid Timed Research available for $1.99 USD or the same equivalent in your local currency. Rewards from this Paid Timed Research include encounters with Klawf, as well as Dhelmise, Clauncher, Dwebble, and Corphish. Timed Research does expire, though, so players will need to ensure they have completed tasks and claimed their rewards by the Pinch Perfect end date.
Can Klawf Be Shiny in Pokemon GO?
As of the Pinch Perfect event, no, there is not currently any possibility of encountering shiny Klawf, as its shiny form is not in the game. However, there is a strong chance that shiny Klawf will eventually be added to Pokemon GO. This is because shiny forms often drop many months after the regular Pokemon forms do, and usually are introduced through fresh events each season, much like the debut of regular specimens.
