Pokemon GO often introduces the shiny forms of various monsters at a much later date then their original debut. This helps players have new shinies to hunt down and provide new additions that can be added through themed in-game events. The Pinch Perfect event, which takes a focus on crab-like and Water Type Pokemon, is one such example, as shiny Dhelmise will be making its Pokemon GO debut.

If you’re wondering how to get shiny Dhelmise in Pokemon GO, all relevant information has been included in the guide below.

How to Get Shiny Dhelmise in Pokemon GO

Shiny Dhelmise is available from the date the Pinch Perfect event begins, on January 6, 2026, at 10 AM local time. As Dhelmise is featured in the event, there are multiple ways for players to potentially obtain a shiny one during the event.

Dhelmise is generally a rare Pokemon in the game already, only having previously been available as a 3-Star Raid Boss on different occasions. Dhelmise is returning to 3-Star Raids during the Pinch Perfect event, so players can try to obtain a shiny one by completing Dhelmise Raids repeatedly.

If Trainers are lucky, they can encounter a shiny Dhelmise by pure luck. Completing multiple Dhelmise Raids simply means you spawn in as many as possible, giving more chances of one beating the odds and showing up as shiny.

During Pinch Perfect, Dhelmise is also available to encounter as a Field Research task reward. However, this is fairly limiting, as you can’t farm multiple encounters. The Paid Timed Research (priced at $1.99 USD) offers encounters with Dhelmise, Klawf, Clauncher, Dwebble, Corphish, and more. This means it can be a decent option for initiating additional Dhelmise encounters, giving even more chances for a shiny to appear.

However, if Trainers choose to take on the event Paid Timed Research, they will need to ensure that they complete all tasks and claim their rewards before the Pinch Perfect event comes to an end.
