Marvel Rivals is celebrating the holiday season in the latest 5.5 patch. This update added a new collection of winter holiday-themed hero skins, each of which can be obtained through different methods such as completing challenges or events, purchasing from the in-game shop, or exchanging unstable molecules. All 2025 Winter Holiday Skins & How to Get Them in Marvel Rivals

There have been eight new skins in total added to Marvel Rivals in celebration of the winter holidays. The recipients for these skins include Jeff the Land Shark, Peni Parker, Squirrel Girl, Daredevil, Winter Soldier, Magneto, and Star-Lord. Some of these skins can be acquired by simply purchasing them for one of the various in-game currencies via the shop or the hero gallery. Others are tied to the new ‘Gone Nutty For Gifts’ limited-time event.

How Does the Gone Nutty For Gifts Event Work in Marvel Rivals?

In Marvel Rivals, the Gone Nutty For Gifts event operates on a gacha roll system, similar to the recent Rivals Day events. However, this one thankfully does not cost Units such as the anniversary-themed Psylocke skin, but instead operates how the Jeff’s Break Time event played out.

During the event, players can acquire Acorns by completing event challenges or through purchases with in-game currencies. Players can then choose to shoot down a gift of their choice by expending one of their Acorns.

For every gift they shoot down, a random prize inside will be added to their account, selected from the pool of available items. Some additional items included in the event are only obtainable if you upgrade to the Premium Pass, which costs 990 Lattice.

Old Winter Holiday Skins Also Return in Marvel Rivals, But Only For a Limited Time!

In addition to this, winter holiday skins from the previous year are returning to Marvel Rivals for a limited time, as part of the ‘Festive Throwback’ shop event. The Festive Throwback event will be ongoing between December 19, 2025, and January 2, 2026. Of course, winter holiday skins aren’t the only previously released up for grabs as part of Festive Throwback, so players have a chance to grab many cosmetics they may have previously missed out on.
