How to Summon Hartalis in Palworld

In Palworld, Hartalis is one of few Pals who are a Raid Boss, meaning they can only be obtained via the Summoning Altar. The Summoning Altar is a one use item that can be unlocked with 3 Ancient Technology Points at Level 32, and will require the following materials to build at your base:

  • Stone x100
  • Paldium Fragment x20

This will enable you to build one Summoning Altar, which will be destroyed once you start a Raid. To participate in additional Raids, you will need to gather enough materials to build more Summoning Altars.

Once you have a Summoning Altar ready to use, you will then need a Slab. Specifically, you will need the Hartalis Slab, as each Raid Boss is summoned with a particular variant.

Slabs are created from Slab Fragments, which can be found as one of the rewards inside chests within dungeons. To create one Slab, you will need to gather four Fragments and then craft them into a Slab via a workbench.

Once you have created your Slab, you can then use it at the Summoning Altar to either spawn Hartalis at your base or fight one in a dedicated zone thanks to the new Raid Area feature.

How to Defeat Hartalis in Palworld

Upon beginning the Raid, Hartalis will spawn in with a Grass/Water Dual-Typing. However, after you take Hartalis’ HP bar down to zero, it will heal itself back up to full HP for a second phase of the Raid, also changing its Type. This time, it will become a Neutral Type, so it is important to build a suitable team that can be used to take Hartalis down efficiently.

For phase one, the Water/Grass combination, the most effective attacks will be Electric Types. For the second phase, the best choice is to include some Dark type Pals in your team, as they will be super effective against Hartalis in the Neutral state.

Here are some solid Pal options to consider bringing to Hartalis Raids:

  • Azurmane
  • Shadowbeak
  • Orserk
  • Bellanoir Libero
  • Lyleen Noct
  • Incineram Noct
  • Dinossom Lux
  • Relaxaurus Lux
  • Grizzbolt

After defeating Hartalis, it will drop an Egg, much like other Raid Bosses. You can then simply hatch this Egg to acquire a non-Raid Boss variant of the Pal.

How to Get Hartalis as a Pal Mount

To use Hartalis as a Pal Mount, Palworld players will need to craft the required Pal Gear. Hartalis requires a Hartalis Saddle, which can be unlocked from the Technology/Gear menu at level 65 for 5 Technology Points.

After unlocking the Hartalis Saddle, players will then need to craft it as a workbench with the following resources:

  • Leather x100
  • Paldium Fragment x200
  • High Quality Cloth x40
  • Coralum Ingot x40

After this, players will then be able to freely ride their Hartalis around as a Pal Mount, enabling them to explore together.
