The Mega Dimension DLC for Pokemon Legends Z-A added a collection of new Mega Evolutions to the game, including Mega Golisopod. However, in order to get their own Mega Golisopod, Trainers will need to meet certain requirements. If you’re wondering how to get Mega Golisopod in Pokemon Legends Z-A, everything you’ll need to know has been covered in the guide below.
How to Get Mega Golisopod & Golisopite in Pokemon Legends Z-A

In Pokemon Legends Z-A, players will need to acquire the specific Mega Evolution stone for Golisopod, which is called Golisopite. Mega Stones can be obtained through a few different ways in the Mega Dimension DLC, and while some are given out as mission rewards or as part of the main story, Golisopod is not one of them,
To get Golisopite in Pokemon Legends Z-A, players will need to defeat a rogue Mega Golisopod in battle. However, Mega Golisopod is encountered via the randomly generated Hyperspace portals, meaning there is no guaranteed chance that one will be available to battle at any given time, due to the limit of Pokemon.
Luckily, there is a method that can be used to keep re-randomizing the Hyperspace portals until you find one that contains Mega Golisopod. Similarly to how Trainers are able to ‘Pass the time’ at benches for nature/shiny hunting certain Pokemon at Wild Zones, they can also use the same trick for re-rolling the portals around the map.
Once you encounter Golisopod through a portall, you will then need to defeat it in battle to gain the Golisopite .
How to Defeat Rogue Mega Golisopod & Get Golisopite

Mega Golisopod is a Bug and Steel Dual-Type Pokemon. This means That Mega Golisopod has an overwhelming 2x weakness to Fire Type Pokemon and moves. To ensure you have the easiest time taking down Rogue Mega Golisopod, it is recommended to bring a strong Fire Type Pokemon – preferably one that can also Mega Evolve. Several options have been listed below:
- Emboar
- Pyroar
- Camerupt
- Charizard
- Chandelure
After defeating the Rogue Mega Golisopod, you will not get the opportunity to capture it, but you will still gain the Golisopite. This means that once you have gained Golisopite, you will need your own Golisopod. You can then give Golisopod the Golisopite as a Hold Item, and you will be able to Mega Evolve in battle.
If you need to acquire your own Golisopod, the easiest way to do so is by either acquiring one in an online trade or by capturing and evolving a Wimpod. Wimpod can be found in various Hyperspace Wild Zones with a 1-Star rating.
